Just spoke to an old mate of mine, and he told me that we have been up for sale for a while. We couldn't offer new contracts to our players because we couldn't afford it. My final question to him was "is this from a good source" he said "yes". I know the circles he mixes in so l am taking a bit of notice of this.

I'm not saying its right or not, you make you're own mind up.

I was called all sorts when I said that KP would sell one day, this was before Vichai died

it adds up , Kingpower wrote off about £190 million not long ago
There has to be a delay to determine the price depending on what league we are in
By letting these contracts unwind we are taking millions off the wage bill and leaving the
new owners to determine what players they want
I think Top has run his course he has won most the major prizes been in the Champions
League and there is not much left
The issue is who we get has new owners there has been plenty of recent disasters 😁

Wouldn’t surprise anyone I don’t think, but the only thing that gives you doubts is that surely someone in the media would have got notice of it if we’ve been up for sale a while.

Also writing off £100mil, unless it's a launder knowing he will get it back in the valuation price 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

What's happened about the stadium expansion?
Perhaps they’re making a decision based on relegation?
I’d like to think they’ll go ahead with it if we’re relegated, then you make the most of the feel good factor when we come back up.

I can't see Top selling this club it's too personal to him knowing what happened to his father. Probably writing off millions of debt to make us more appealing for outside investors to come in.

I have no idea whether the club is up for sale, but way too much has been made of Top’s decision to convert the club’s debt to the KP group into equity. It was a nice gesture on his part, but the suggestion that it was intended to attract a buyer is a bit silly. That debt was never going to be repaid - everybody knows this. Its removal from the balance sheet makes our finances look a bit healthier, but it has zero impact on the value of the club.

If somebody wanted to buy the club, they’d expect that debt to the existing owners to be wiped out anyway as part of the deal. All parties would understand this. Nobody is going to think, “Wow - LCFC’s debt to its owners has been wiped. Let’s make a bid!”

That's my point.

Sounds ludicrous, but you actually spelt it out better than I could.

What Top said on the debt equity swap:

'I believe with all my heart in Leicester City and what the club can achieve for our fans, our people and our communities - in Leicester, Thailand and around the world.

'The faith they continue to place in us to run their club responsibly with ambition and integrity guides our decision making and remains vital to us building on one of the most successful eras in the club's history.'

So why did you keep Rodgers for so long then endangering the whole club???

Because Rodgers won us the FA Cup and Community shield and two top five finishes. This is lil old Leicester punching above our weight, you can't blame Rodgers but the bloke who's advising Top.

Because he’s not as clear-sighted or ruthless as his dad and he genuinely believed Rodgers would turn it around? He made a mistake - hopefully he’ll learn from it. He now has a massive decision to make about our next manager. We can’t afford another mistake.
