Mobile ST access now default

Sorry, yes you're right.

I meant to say:
32500 seats
- 23000 ST holders
- 2500 away fans (average guesstimate)

Leaves 7000 potential tickets each match for members, which by default are mobile tickets. That's without segregation etc, so actual number could be lower.

If the club says "up to 7000" are using mobile tickets per match then my fagpacket maths suggests not many ST holders have opted for it. So the rumoured number of 1600 passes the sniff test for "is it bull?".
1600 is their own figure and, as I keep saying, is lower than the year before. They won't take the hint. They need telling.

Had to laugh at the club wording mobile tickets as "offering a more efficient entry experience" - every time there's been queues at the turnstiles in the last couple of seasons it's been caused by herberts fannying about with their phones!

That’s what I was told by the individual.
Don't they have lights above the turnstile that identify if the ticket is a concession or not? I always assumed that generally they were looking for full adults using concession tickets or vice versa (or the "obviously never used a ticket before" types), the random element being which turnstile or turnstiles they are focussing on at that match.

I have now read the piece on the mockery Web site. I am still not clear, as in: do they plan to charge £25 to allow you to use a card that you already have (as an existing STH) or is this for a new ST purchaser who wants a card? If the answer to the first question is 'yes' it really is beyond comprehension. They've already said exemptions meeting their approval can continue to have a card at no extra cost. Therefore, all of the aperatus will remain for their use. So what's the problem then in letting people continue with a card? I suggest the moron(s) who have dreamt this one up get round to the turnstiles and observe. Issues gaining entry - always a mobile user. They are the minority causing the issues you clowns. But in my case, and thousands of others, if you've been giving them your money for nearly half a century and work full time that will be twenty five quid please. Can you imagine this being implemented if the ground were half empty every game? They will reap what they sow. Beyond disgusted.

Schoolboy error to rely on the mockery for anything, dare I say!
The ckub stuff is, for once, unequivocal.
Old cards will no longer work (translation – new sponsor or a similar reason why they've decided to change them)
£25 charge for anyone not old, young, or disabled wanting one of the new cards
The one thing that they haven't included in their explanations is a couple of lines admitting what cunts they are.

West Ham have a similar problem apparently that tey're clamping down on – an adult can get a better view for less money by buying the cheapest adult seat plus a kids one at £99, and sitting in the kids seat.

I just hope they don't start giving instructions to the stewards to confiscate mobile phones 😒 when they search you.
They are that thick you couldn't make it up.

At least you can pass on your ticket legally through the club 4 times per season. I’ve done it 4 times and it’s an easy system. I believe though they need to up this to more. At least 25% of matches. The £25 cost isn’t for the card. It’s a deterrent. Wouldn’t surprise me if they up it to £50 next season.
Apparently it’s 5 x resales and 4 x forwarding next season

Ok thanks.

Plays into the narrative that it's not really a security thing, just a cash grab thing....no other way to explain the inability for a ST holder to pass their ticket to any linked account with a booking history.

Just saw this posted elsewhere.

Not only do Liverpool allow you to forward your ticket to non-members....they actually send out a free plastic card to that person so they can enter the ground.

It doesn't say that in the link.
It says they would forward the NFC pass to a Friend or Family mobile device.
For season tickets holders that don't have a compatible device, a physical card can be ordered (doesn't mention if there is a price) - but not so sure about the Friends and Family...from that link

It doesn't mention "mobile device" in that article. You've assumed mobile, I've assumed physical card. The link isn't clear, but I'm sure you'll investigate further 👍

Point remains, Liverpool fans don't have to shell out for a membership to receive a transferred ticket, and it doesn't mention the limit of 4 per season.

Sorry - an NFC Pass is for mobile devices...

I think, from delving into the link - they have a photo stadium ID card for those (season ticket holders only), who don't have appropriate mobile devices.
A lot less stringent than our process and I can't see a charge for the card mentioned.

And surely we have fewer dodgy thieving on-the-make scroats amongst our fan-base than they have, yet we get treated worse.
