Ask the right questions and he responds well and a good interview plays out.

Ask the wrong questions though and he just makes the interviewer look stupid.

He's brilliant and comes across well in his interviews. He's more the sort of person that can speak for the average working class person.
 
The press don't like being made to look foolish, they will want some sort of revenge.

His parents are Irish so that will give the press another opportunity to adjust the truth to suit the story
 
The next thing the crazy conspiracists will be claiming, is that the government are manufacturing a unions crisis - to have a good old Thatcher style showdown. To appeal to the retired vote, who remember the bad old days when people used to stand up for their rights and the "I'm Alright Jack" brigade. Add in the pension triple-lock and young voter apathy - and some more of Boris.

The good old silent "majority".
