Everybody seems to think he’ll leave, I assume he must be open to staying if we’ve told Percy that we’re are restarting talks. Couple of good wins and everything looks rosier.
 
May not go down well with some on here but his relationship with Rodgers will be key to getting this over the line

I would love him to stay, but I just can't see it, sadly.

In the last season and a half, in a generally struggling side, he's become the best English no 10 in the game. We can see it, I am sure Heads of Recruitment in the BCCs can see it, even if Southgate cannot. At 26, he is entering his prime, time for the next big 4 year contract.

Only hope is that he really plays best in a 4-2-3-1, and many of the big clubs play 4-3-3. I hope if he does go, it's not to sit on the bench as an understudy to a Fernandes or an Odergaard - he should be playing every week.

Would be sad if he goes to Newcastle, as they are in the same PL cohort as us, but he would fit well there
