LCFC Fans Consultative Meeting Minutes – March 2023

We
Wonderful to read in the minutes that the trust raised strong objections to the digital ticketing, and shared the many many concerns of the fan base...

OH
Smoking in the toilets at home games a concern and we may need water fountains for drinking
You can’t make this stuff up 😁

Has he ever been of use? Like back in the filbo years

Ginetta like the large number of people attending that meeting represent who ?
Ginetta was head of the supporters club forty years ago does that exist anymore and how many members are in it
I have never seen smoking in toilets apart from steam coming out of geezers ears at the end of watching 90 minutes of dross that seems to happen on a regular basis , surely there are bigger issues to discuss
The whole lot is a complete waste of time and is out of touch 😁

Smoking in the toilets happens loads at away games, I’ve not noticed it at home games, don’t they open the gates and let those who want to, outside for a fag at half time?

They also do at away games but it's almost like some fans feel the need to get absolutely battered and behave worse than usual because it's an away game.

There is bigger issues at the club regard ticketing , the lack of safe standing and we are concerned about the odd
fag
Bizarre fanbase 😁

Re: Safe Standing: "Area for installation should not impact sightlines for other seats. Generally corners of stadium bowls selected, for this reason."

Typical half hearted tokenism revealing the true lack of desire to implement safe standing on behalf of those in charge of safety at the club. You don't want to impact sightlines for other seats? Make it a whole end with adjoining corners. Whole end for start of 2023/24. Adjoining corners when the East Stand extension is sorted (edit: well obviously it would all need to be at once really for the sightlines but I am impatient for this!)

Safe standing may result in what we had at FS. As fans get older they move out of The Kop and into quieter areas of the ground where they can sit.
Safe standing at FS, you mean Crazy Corner when the seats were first installed ?
Hardly a month went by when cut/ grazed legs were the norm 😊

Oh.
We organised a meeting back in October with the club where Foxes Trust, Union FS & DSA all raised a variety of concerns about digital tickets.

This was mentioned in an article back then https://foxestrust.co.uk/9555/club-...KLmpbEzd7K1EsMoWNcoUGDx6UXH7uBJLW79VWnvnh7yLE

We also gave members a chance to give their views directly back to the club at our recent AGM, where the vast majority attending indicated they did not want to switch to a digital season ticket next season

Thanks for not even bringing up e ticket season tickets.
We asked for it as an agenda item at the FCC meeting, as did a number of other fans on the FCC. Remember the minutes are issued by the club and give no indication of the time taken to discuss each topic.

While it is very clear the club want to push e-tickets and will have further activity to encourage fans to try them before the end of this season, the reality is that take up percentage this season was very low and that tells its own story.

The club want to add more support at the turnstiles because there have been a number of games where queues have built up as fans struggle to load tickets.

Then there are issues at both ends of the age spectrum, under 16 are not allowed apple pay etc on their phones so cannot download tickets, older generation may not own suitable phones and not willing to upgrade purely to get entry to games, so alternative methods of entry have to be maintained

Safe standing won't be introduced until the stadium expansion takes place, even Union FS who lead the campaigning accept this is logical

The club will carry out additional fan surveys. with one obvious question of whether you would have a season ticket in a safe standing section, this will give a good gauge as to how big the area needs to be

Yet other clubs have done this mid season so it really isn’t difficult or that expensive to do. Right now I’d suggest there is little goodwill between the club and the supporters and a trial of standing over in the UFS area would I think be a great gesture and show something back to the fans.

If that is the case then good, and I hope the club remember that freedom of choice for the individual is equally as important as legalities and streamlining.
