Wasn't so great going forward last night, despite his press releases about battling on and doing his all I think the pressure is getting to him understandable as he's only young a bit of a surprise to me that Thomas was on the bench especially as dean's already dragged him off at half time before
 
I’m really worried about Kristiansen. At times over eager and not seeing the full picture. Very one footed ... there were times when he should be playing obvious balls but doesn’t because it would mean using his right foot.
After Harrison doing him a couple of times he stopped closing him down and hence allowed him to get that cross in for their goal. And even with his left foot he’s hit and miss with his crossing.
 
Is this the same Thomas who looked completely out of his depth at Newcastle and Forest playing like a little boy lost? He does seem a little bit better as a wing back but I wouldnt want him anywhere near the team at the moment whilst we are playing a flat back four. Kristiansen is physically and mentally stronger.

It's just ominous that players we've bought under Rodgers start well but go backwards !!!!!! Rudkin should have the Rudkin out treatment, just so he knows he might fool Top but !!!!!!!!

The same Thomas that was outstanding in the FA cup final and Liverpool for example? We can all name good and poor games for every player.

You are only as good as you last game and in my biased view Kristiansen has been poor for a number of weeks and lots of fans seem to ignore it. If Thomas played that poor last night he’d be getting hammered for it.

I will agree that he’s physically stronger than thomas.

Yes thats the one and I agree he has had some very good games including the ones you mention and i'd say in a back five there is a fair case for playing him in preference to Kristiansen. I would argue however that his performances against Newcastle and Forest where his head went and he was all over the place were that poor it prompted the signing of an upgrade in his position.
Another factor in both players performances is of course a total lack of support from Barnes and, for Kristiansen in the last couple of games, the lack of defensive midfielders.

You could argue that kristiansens performance against Man City and Leeds last night were equally as poor. To be honest Thomas’s worse game was against Blackburn.

You are right they get no support which doesn’t help matters and the things being aimed at kristiansen were also aimed at Thomas.

It’s a clean slate for everyone, look at soumare for example a new coach and he seems a far better player now. Thomas may be no better but based on the performance there needs to be a change to protect kristiansen more than anything.
