Wow. What would he have done in the 70/80’s where pretty much every match each team played the same 11 with just one sub. Awful pitches, possible multiple replays in cup competitions and nowhere the sports science of today. ( Liverpool themselves played 13 matches in the league cup in 84 to win it. No playing the kids). They all played over 60 matches. Does make it right but .........
They were at home on Wednesday, not playing like we will be in the arse end of the eastern bloc on Thursday.
