Just watched Steve Warnock's video extracts of the team's approach to the Palace game on the SS football show.
Clearly little appetite from us for the game.
All the signs were there of a subconscious shortfall of confidence in the leadership of the management.
Reinstating this is key to survival whoever comes. Now he has gone it seems to be easier to see the problems in a clearer way.
Although supportive of the proposed interim management policy I wonder if a new face with a more demanding attitude
will be more what is needed.
After all being 'stale' means seeing the same faces too much. Familiarity etc.
I hope Potter can be recruited. He would need his first match to cast an eye from the stands then into urgent action.
We are a better 'fit' than Chelsea which never felt right for him. I can't see his availabilty as coincidental.
Some rule bending tapping up has to be more likely.

I’m sure Potter picked up enough from watching us being taken apart by a sub standard Chelsea just a couple of weeks ago.

It's a simple formula.

You pick your best players and don't let your ego or stubbornness effect what's best for the team you're being paid handsomely to manage.

Failure to do so will eventually result in heads dropping and confidence evaporating.

Our "eventually" happened many months ago.
