Another man of the match performance for Leeds last night I see. We were within a gnat's whisker of signing him on deadline day but it wasn't to be. Instead we have the ersatz Brazilian who I hope never plays for us again.

He could well have made the difference between staying up or not. Fine margins Brian.

Meh...Rodgers would have ruined him in no time. But I get your point.

Sorry, no, I’m not having that. That’s like saying that the problem on the Titanic wasn’t the Captain driving them on towards the iceberg, but the wrong bolt on a bulkhead.

Congratulations Ev'. You win first prize in today's 'negative spin competition'.

I fully agree with your analogy me duck. However, if we go down by the 'fine margin' of a point, two or three (if we do I don't think it will be more than that) all I'm suggesting is that not signing Harrison could have been a pivotal moment in our failure to stay up, that's all. A purely hypothetical and unprovable notion of course.

Clutching at straws (the shit ref last night, the goal off Iversen’s arse) aligns you with the misdirection that Rodgers has been peddling all season. Shit happens, but you can still stay up, even win things. But when you get a whole steaming heap of it, as we’ve had this season, then you have to face facts, and just accept that it’s the fault of the bloke who’s been shovelling it.

He was about to come on for KDH before Young went down like a shot buffalo!

What part of me saying "I fully agree with your analogy me duck" didn't you get? I've made no reference to last night's ref or Iversen's arse so those straw clutching examples can't be used to align me with Rodgers misdirection. We are where we are in the table because that's where we deserve to be.

I was merely expressing an opinion that, despite having to suffer the whole steaming pile of shit we undoubtedly have, the signing of a player who may have gone some way to replace the seemingly irreplaceable Mahrez may have been all that was required to keep us up.

Missing out by 1/2 points. Two 5th places. Now probably relegation by the same ‘fine’ margin.

Hindsight is a wonderful tool!
