Iverson in, Ward out

Pah - next you are going to say the Twitterati are saying neither Amartey or Soumare will pull on a first team shirt again.

Not a scientific poll I admit - but I haven't come across a City fan who thinks he is worse. To that end, given how bad things are, he must be worth a run in the team.

(and a lot who think he is better)

I know Casper was crap with crosses, but he did know his angles. Ward doesn't, every time there is a one on one he leaves a gap which says "Shoot here". Iversen cannot simply be any worse, just needs one game with a clean sheet and I think he would be OK. Ward had his chance, loads of them, and blew it.

.....leaves a gap that says 'shoot here'...

That's spot on for me. He makes the opposition look better finishers than they are

First goal against Blackburn suggests his angle awareness might be even worse. The ball hit the middle of the net, not in the corner.

I really hope that's just a one off (caused by the amartay effect) as I had high hopes after his glowing loan reports.

I think Iverson's performance against Blackburn should have been enough to get him a start in the 'first team'. I am not convinced he's all that with his feet, but we need someone good with his hands and angles.

I know he should have expected it but, but I think he was left stunned by the Amartey inpetness.
