I've passed this way before

It was pointed out to me this morning that we’ve been relegated 9 times since 1969.

As the same person also said, we’ve been promoted 8 times, so , trying to be positive,
( the pills have finally kicked in) the good times are just around the corner.

Its still shit though aint it?

Well personally I have not enjoyed the Puel and Rogers era ( excluding the Cup win thanks to Kasper ) so a change of style and a rebuild may be a good thing.

Every manager and coach plays thr Barca way now so....
Any way is good or bad depending on how players play it...

Part of me has been going with the ‘sometimes we are up .. sometimes we are down’ narrative and it’s true that we have sometimes bounced back quickly.

But … once a club is in ‘free fall’ it is not easy to stop. It took the best part of a decade and going down to the third division to finally get over the Taylor / administration years. Forest, Derby, Coventry have even worse stories.

The last two summers have been a shambles. We need the coming one to be a real success .. good new (youngish?) manager who can change the whole mentality of the club. Identify three or four players to keep. Ship out the rest and get in a dozen or more new faces. .. and all the while while keeping an eye on the money. It’s going to be a tough challenge.

Yes. Yes it is. It’s really shit. We had an opportunity to change our club for years and we’ve wasted it.
