It's down to 3 from 5

Bump.

So it's been a satisfactory weekend. Forget Wolves, Palace, Bournemouth and imo West Ham.

If you look at the rest.

Saints lost
Forest lost
Everton lost.

Leeds play Liverpool tomorrow.

To get rid of the Man City fixture and be no further adrift is a bonus.

It's a big if, but if we beat Wolves we should be right back in the fight. If Deano & company can get to work on the players and they can produce more of the better bits from Man City, then I'd give us a chance against Wolves and in general.

Yeah, this weekend could have been much worse: we could have dropped to the bottom, and Everton's home defeat against Fulham is a particularly good result for us. As for Everton, I was quite sure they'd scrape together the necessary points, starting with Fulham but that result must be a huge setback for them.

All to no avail though if we don't start winning games soon! And, as I said, there is practically no margin for error as far as we are concerned.

I might be totally misguided but for some reason I do have a bit of hope now that the change as been made. We may still go down, but I am certain we WERE down if the change didn't happen. We will see.

What we need is an immediate improvement in performance AND a lot of luck. So often teams survive due to last minute goals, worldy saves etc. etc. Leeds and Everton survived last season just like that. We haven’t seen much luck this season so we need it now.

I'm an optimistic optimist Brauny so still think there's others in the mix - as per my comments on the 'The buckin run ins' thread.

Our next three games are absolutely crucial (aren't they all?). If we don't win at least two of those I'll have to resort to
taking my own branded medication

Er... Keep The Faith Brothers and Sisters!!

Well to catch the others you are pretty much looking at us winning either 2 or 3 consecutive games and them to lose just to catch them up.
Not impossible but very unlikely. However Leeds are vulnerable and Everton would of been shaken by their Fulham result. There will be twists and turns but the onus is on us to put the pressure on the others.
