if bournemouth beat leeds tomorrow they're pretty much safe.
both everton and leeds have tough following 2 games where they'll likely get no points.

west ham still have a big part to play, after their next 2 really tough games they've got leeds and us as well as euro cup games in between.
forest are the wild card, they've got soton next, but then games they might win or lose.

i can now see 34 points getting 17th in that scenario (revising down from my earlier prediction).
a win on monday and v fulham puts us safe. i can't see us getting anything from the last 3 games (unless newcastle are on the beach).

I hope so still have ptsd from being at a filbert st game in the 70's where we were 3-0 up at half time and managed to draw 3-3 against the hammers.
if we can win tomorrow and squeeze at least a point out of fulham, then the pressure is on those around us.
if we don't win tomorrow, we're done. a draw takes us out of the bottom 3, but only on gd.
