I feel so sorry

For the people in the Letby case losing somene begore there.lives have started must absolutely devastating ....
..At least l have memories to look back on after my son died suddenly, but to look forward to a future as parents of a child then to lose everything. l honestly dont know how you can live a life with being constantly reminded of what might have been, when seeing children every day of your life

I can't remember a case that I've struggled with more than this one. I've found reading about it so horrifying I've started to avoid it. It just defies belief. I doubt we'll ever know 'why' she did it because I suspect she doesn't even know why herself.

Unimaginable pain for the parents. I honestly don't know whether I'd have the strength to carry on if it happened to a child of mine.

Having sat through training on child safeguarding and the harrowing (and I mean harrowing) account of what happened (and didn't happen) to Baby Peter and Victoria Climbie I don't and can't read about this type of thing.

Other people need held to account for this, and the focus needs to turn on that pretty dman quick.

Shocking similarities to the Beverley Allitt case who murdered young children at Grantham & Kesteven Hospital in 1991.She is in Rampton serving 13 life sentences for murders and attempted murders. Her methods also used insulin. She was diagnosed as having Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy. Her 30 year whole life tariff has already been passed and she is assessed every 3 years to be considered for release. Let’s hope that justice will still prevail and that she will never be released.

The Letby case will have blown any chance of that (I hope)

The chief Exec, Director of Nursing and the Medical Director should be charged with personal Manslaughter by Gross Negligence and the Trust with Corporate Manslaughter b. g. n.

If I was one of the parents I would find them before that happened and dispense my own form of justice

NHS

A system that exists for the staff not the patients

The most disheartening effects of this case is although its a life tarrif she will be well looked after by the prison authorities in a cosy cell (if you can call that a cell) looking at photos virtually everything catered for her
That makes me mad

Apparently suicide watch every 5 minutes (waste of resources I think), a target for every other lifer. She won’t last long I hope. Yet Allitt lives on so who knows?
