How could I have been so fucking stupid

I've just learnt about A.A or attendance allowance from a friend .
I've literally lost thousands of pounds, but it's too late now
Why weren't I notified about this when l first took on the role of caring for my wife, lm fucking livid about this, 27 years lve cared and no one could sit down with me to prepare me for my life ahead

Make sure you claim it now if you haven’t already. The form is long and complicated but doable. You also MUST claim carers allowance within 3 months of getting AA as you don’t qualify after that. Contact citizens advice if you need advice. Well worth a phone call.

When I finished work, I was allowed to claim carers allowance for my disabled wife.
The moment I got my state pension, they took away my carers allowance.

Interesting.
Firstly, I reckon you're fucked if you don't possess a questioning personality these days. Non one can rely on being told what'll be in their interests – you have to find it out for yourself. At least google helps a bit in that regard.
Secondly, we're always told that the front-line people working in the public sector are brilliant and that it's the cunts in charge (and the Gov) who don't make this sort of help better known about. But what's to stop the front-line staff from asking everyone if they've heard about this benefit, or know about that benefit? Surely they're also cunts for not helping people in this way? Reminds me a bit of the cunts who work in my local train ticket office – you'd wish closure on all of the unhelpful intransigent surly fuckers.

I reckon them being surly is probably down to having to deal with you. 😜
