Fraud Rodgers

He’s tactically been first class, especially considering injuries, AWAY from home.
He hasn’t & isn’t producing that level at home.
Big big game for him against wolves coming up because he has to think of something different for them, because that’s one team vardy has never troubled in the 5 games he’s played against them.

Not a fraud but nor do I think stringing 9 across the back and hitting on the break is the sign of a master tactition either although this may have been determined by the current injuries - we will see

We have been fortunate that the opposition have missed clear cut chances

I sound a bit Hide which is not my intention as there are no complaints from me but just feel we have had the breaks over the last couple of games

I guess you make your own luck

I believe many teams will struggle at home this season. With the continued absence of fans, home advantage is no longer there and could, in fact, turn into a disadvantage. Home teams are still expected to take the game to their opponents but have to do so without the fans' support.

A quick glance at the home and away tables seems to bear this out: there are currently only five teams with a positive home record (i.e. more wins than defeats) but eight teams with a positive away record.

Of course, it's still early in the season, and I don't know what the home and away records normally look like at this stage but it's perhaps worth a thought.

It may not be the sign of a master tactician, but it was the way we won the title. It also a sensible way to cope with our current lack of strength at the back.

Im hoping that BR has finally learnt the ethos of the modern LCFC, and now has another game plan. Wolves like to sit deep, and break. Be interesting to see how he approaches them.

The good thing is now we look comfortable playing a variety of ways. We can play possession and we can also play counter attack. Wouldn't surprise me though if he brings someone to hold the ball up against wolves as they do like to sit deep.

I think we'll struggle vs Wolves. Not only will a team sitting deep prevent us from playing to Vardy's strengths, we'll have to break them down without any fans' support.

This will be a very difficult game unless we score early I think!!

But reading his post-match interview, I really wish he'd paraphrased The Don when asked about winning the title – you know, 40pts and then we'll see where we go ;)

That's the great thing about this season so far that's it's not all about Vardy. If Vardy isn't at it another quality player stands up.

Maddison has to start, along with under. Two players who have a bit of technical ability about them.

So far, empty stadia apart, this feels a lot like last season.

Started very nicely, pundits and media largely ignoring us. Just hope that Brendan can keep it together for the whole season!

He's still incredibly important and irreplaceable. 7 league games, seven goals. We scored 17 in total. And he's been involved in other goals as well.

Yes he's very important but he's not irreplaceable. There's not going to be another Vardy as he's a one off. We just have to tweak the way we play when he retires. I just hope if we do bring someone in we don't judge them against Vardy.

But we have the mighty Ian Nacho to fill his boots don't we Daz?

Yes we do and I'll think he will do well being the main man but like I say don't judge against how good Vardy is because he's a one off. We will still need another striker though maybe that's why Hirst has gone on loan.

The difference being that the beginning of last season we had all of our first 11 playing virtually every game. We dropped off after the break when we lost Ricky, Madders and Chilwell to injuries and Cags through suspension. If we can keep the same form up until our injured players return then we should all be confident that we can finish in the top 4.

If someone had said we would be going into games in atrocious conditions against in form opposition without Riccy, Evans, Soyuncu, Timmy Chestnuts and Wilf, with Maddison not fully fit and on the bench, I would have said it was time to go behind the sofa. So last night was a fantastic result for which Rodgers deserves great credit. We were lucky in that Bamford missed a sitter, just like we were lucky that VAR chalked off the early goal at the Emirates, but we conceded early on at Man City and got a result. If we can get 3 points from the next two fixtures I shall be even more encouraged that Rodgers is for real. But not yet. Scouse fans claimed he had no plan B. But if we can stay in the top six before the aforementioned all return I shall be more than happy. The Scouse have looked very vulnerable without just one player, and no one else except perhaps Chelsea is pulling up any trees at the moment. Ironic that at a time when it is great to be a fan we cannot get to see them except on TV.

Hate to say it, but Spurtz are looking a threat in the PL.
Roll on January and Kane's annual ankle injury...

Reverse the strategy. Go defensive and stop Wolves playing to their strengths.
If it's a draw no worries, win away, draw at home and you will be somewhere near the top.
Sorted.
