Engineers, Doctors & Scientists

Posts like this keep coming, because people don't like being honest. To be honest, I don't like being honest either sometimes. I wish the world was different, but as Glimmer or the other one might say, 'Here we are'.
 
Rather than agree that there seems to be a much larger percentage of men seeking refuge than women or children, it's easier to call anyone who points this out as an out dated racist. Job done, argument won, move on..

I'm 99.9% confident that none of us know those people in the photo.

They could be the next A&E doctor, or the next Frank Gallagher. Super intelligent or super thick. Hard working or a complete slacker.

There are just assumptions being made based on appearance. In my book that's not being "honest".

I get your point, but I'm not talking about assumptions.

One wave of migrants that came my way were predominantly male. That's not an assumption, it's just the way it was.

Another wave of migrants that are here right now, are predominantly women and children.

If I where an 'A & E Doctor or a Scientist or an Engineer or a Dancer or an Artist seeking to live and work in the UK I would be faced with two routes.

I could apply for job. Once I have secure the job I could apply for a Visa at a British Embassy or Consulate. This Visa would be granted for a period of five years and would be extended thereafter if I still had a job and had not committed a criminal offence.

The alternative route is to trek across Europe, destroy my identity papers, pay a people trafficker, then jump in a dinghy.

I wonder which route I would take?

I wish that the Left would just be a little more 'honest'when they comment on this issue

Honesty works both ways.
Maybe the west shouldn’t be bombing the fuck out of those countries or facilitating the bombing the fuck out of those countries or selling arms to countries who are bombing the fuck out of those countries.
The “right” seem to dismiss that.
Throw in a little coercion tactics to facilitate a civil unrest and hey presto!
Oh and don’t bring the bullshit excuse that they should stay and fight for their country like the Ukraine males have done (you’ve implied it many times) the west is arming the Ukraines to fuck while you expect these to fight off missiles and bombs with fucking sticks.
Actions have consequences.

Where did you get the data from that says there is a much larger percentage of men coming here than women.

I’m not saying you’re right or wrong just interested in what you base this on?

If you have skills that we need you get a Visa - that's the deal. If you are a refugee you get to stay - that's the deal

These goat herders neither have the skills or are refugees. That's why they don't follow the official route and that's why they bin their papers.

That must have been very gruelling for you, to follow all those people from their place of origin on their journey to get to the uk. I’m guessing you interviewed them all in depth on the journey for you to know everything about their lives and their previous jobs. How long did that take you?

Or did you just see a boat full of brown people and decide to call them goat herders?
