In some ways I admire him. To possess such a of lack ability to execute the most basic of footballing tasks, the 5 yard pass, and earn more in a week than many do in a year.

That takes some doing and a hell of an agent.

I said he was a championship player, he was out of his depth against a championship side.

As were many others.

He’s been largely shite all season. Another that I would stick with for now but maybe needs a season out on loan and see how he is when he returns.

A different manager may get more out of him especially if his instinct is to go forward but he’s being told not to play like that.

Ridiculous. He's a good passer of the ball (see the pass to Barnes that led to the second at Villa). He just needs the ball not to be moving... and he not to be moving... and it to be in the right position so he can use his left foot (else he has to run around the ball like a demented puppy so he can get into position to use his left foot).

To be fair its quite entertaining seeing him dribble with the ball, looking up to see who's on (usually Barnes) but then realising he has to get the ball under control again before he can think about passing (cue look up again & loss of control, get it back under, look up etc.).

He got energy.
That's it.
How many times does he run, run and run and pass to late and then more often than not the pass don't reach its target.
A proper coach would be teaching him when to release the ball.
There was one occasion last night going towards the kop we broke with him, he had two passes on to his left, he didn't release, got to the edge of the Blackburn box and then.passed back 2 yards!!!!!!!

I think he’s got real potential and has demonstrated it (particularly last season). Like most of Rogers’s players with any creativity/passion/energy/loyalty- a square peg rammed into a round hole.

I've never known a footballer so one footed. It's like he has to do a full 360 to get the ball on his left foot and usually the move is over by then.

Last night, one amongst many examples of his ineptness:
gets the ball in space, has about 10 yards of space ahead of him which will get him to the 18 yard line. instead of running into it, he stops and spins round 270 degrees allows oppo to close him down and makes a weak ass pass.

That was Saturday and last night he had a simple pass to Barnes after doing well and covering a significant amount of ground, and he passed it to a man in red!!!

Piper says he’s struggling with the ball at his feet at the minute 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. He’s a professional footballer FFS.
