Credit where it is due

Sometimes you have to give credit to the opposition. I thought Liverpool were everything I would love to see us be. They pressed high, hunted in packs, gave us zero time on the ball, marked Vardy, gave Maddison no ball and made Kasper go back to his weak point, long kicks. A very professional performance that stopped us playing rather than us playing badly. I do however look forward to Soyuncu partnering Fofana, I thought Evans was very poor last night. Could well be knackered? Not using him as a scapegoat, because nobody played particularly well.

Scousers 2nd team were very good... stopped us playing. I'm not sure why Brendan didn't change it early as we could all see it... Evans, Fuchs & Sharky against that pace?!! Game was made for Praet, to sit deeper with Mendy... it's footy not bloody rocket science!

yes i thought that make shift Liverpool did a job on us as we have done to others say man c. earlier. was very disapointed.

Tielemans and Mendy have both played very well recently but neither can run away from the opposition so they are there for the pressing. Liverpool did that excellently and are obviously a top side. What pissed me off the most was the amount of times players in the centre of the pitch around the half way line when they were being closed down passed it back to Schmeichel only for him to hoof it forwards. I cannot see that as preferable to them playing it forward themselves even if it is only down the channels.
