To ensure the safety of everyone in attendance and to minimise the risk of COVID-19 transmission, the spot checks, which are part of new Premier League protocols, will ask everyone over the age of 18 to provide one of the below:

- Proof of full vaccination for a period of more than two weeks
- A negative lateral flow or PCR test result from within the previous 48 hours
- An exemption from COVID-19 vaccinations
 
This is not true Blue Streak.
You have mis-read the email from LCFC.

It says that from the Man City game they are introducing SPOT CHECKS.
And EVERYONE SELECTED UNDER THE SPOT CHECK will have to supply either a vaccine certificate or a negative test or proof of exemption.

So thats not everyone attending the game, OK!!!!!
So please get it right before spreading information.
 
To be fair mate your dead right, not trying to mislead anyone, just trying to be helpful to those who might not have seen it! I’m guessing everyone will take a test incase they’re selected though?
 
And it goes on to say in the Full Details that even if you fail the spot check on Saturday you will still be allowed in but you will be told that these requirements MIGHT soon become mandatory and become a condition of entry into the stadium. But that won't apply yet.
 
How many do you seriously think they will pick out for a spot check?
1 in a 100?
That would be 300 spot checks. Spread over about 10 turnstile entry zones?
So thats 30 checks per each entry zone.
Thats as much as these security people can cope with.

Looks like it’s a dry run for when it becomes mandatory from October .
 
After all the shite for the cup final, the Euro’s games and the Charity Shield there were no Covid checks at all at Wembley today.
 
Funnily enough only spoke to my mate today who organises it every time they come down here,he is expecting a 1,000
Big Man City fan but lived down here for 40 odd years

And that sums the whole thing up Dags. It’s all nonsense and was right from the beginning.
A real bugbear of mine is things being done just to tick boxes so those on high can spout out that things are safer. Total bollocks. Same as airport security. Most of it is complete nonsense.
 
Don’t you just register you’ve got a negative LFT result regardless on the NHS website to get sent the text message you need? So completely pointless exercise

I won't be in Aylestone pre Match this year, but i wouldn't imagine anything other than a bumper pay day all round( even the chip shop used to open)
They've been coming for years now haven't they.
Is your mate something to do with the club, is that where it all started?

Just a life long Man City fan home and away and yes he has organised it for many years now,he lives just up the road from the shops so sees it as helping to support the local community .
And like you will be a bumper day for some of the businesses 👍

Anyone on hear who has read posts about old Football teams may know him as he set up the Vikings Tun team in the late seventies who I played for ⚽️

With brackets: singular (is); without brackets: plural (are).

If you can see the edit history, it will show I got it right first time. But I was unaware of the brackets solution.
