Considered buckin opinion

GTIF

Roofer
Outclassed but showed more effort than in recent weeks
The penalty shout for handball was as much s penalty as the one they got
We never looked like winning but showed slight improvement
Iversen slapped a corner out he should have caught but made one decent save
Maddison only appeared late on,Iheanacho was good
The real work starts next week

A little harsh there gtif.

pluses
no amartey or soumare
soy
we got better as the game went on (or they took their foot off the gas).
we scored.
we looked far more up for it than last week.
seeing praet and mendy come on at 62 mins meant he got to see them in action for a fair bit.
thomas looked good for a whole half.
we won the second half 1-0.
soton and everton both lost.

minuses
wilf ambled up to stones instead of busting a gut to block the first goal
wilf gives away as stupid a penalty as you'll see all year for the second.
should've got a second via maddison or soys handball header or nacho hitting the post.
bournemouth won.

clearly you get handballs awarded against you at the etihad not for you, it's the law, and i thought maddison was pulled back in box late on but we didn't complain enough.

amazingly we had the same number of shots on target as man city despite the 71-29 split on possession.

at the end of the day it was a free hit against the best team (sorry gunner fans) in the league by a country mile.
Seeing players perform under pressure is much more important than the training ground for a manager.
if terry can get the defence sorted, there's some hope.

i seem to have been drugged with kpbw's happy pills.

onwards and upwards.

No it wasn’t, it was never a penalty in a million years.

Pretty sure Cags wouldn't have played if Evans had not come down ill last night (that's Rodgers' fault too obviously) but it was nice to see him back - and pick up the characteristic booking.
