Let's get the big one out of the way first
Alcaraz should not have been on the pitch to score his goal
It was a red card challenge on Castagne, Redknapp called it spiteful said the player knew what he was doing and said it was a red, he wans right on all three
That said Ward probably should have saved it
He made a decent save from the penalty, he clearly had his homework done and knew where it was likely to go
We shuld have scored when dominant early
Barnes was taken off 45 minutes too late
Iheancho missed a sitter early in the second half
KDH hit one cross harder than a buckin shot
Tete played some good passes second half my feeling is he will come good eventually
Souutar needs to realise he is playing with the big boys now and misplaced passes buck the job up
Faes put a free header wide when it was easier to score
We never worked the goalie at all though Souttar should have headed home
I expect the usual suspects to blame the manager but I've switched off on that stuff now and try and deal in the realities
And today two realities emerged
The manager picked the right team had them fired up, see the way they started, and the players did not deliver
The second reality is we are right in the shite

Yes we are right in the shite, Gerry, a lot of us have been saying that for a while now. But today wasn’t about the players not delivering. That’s a cop out straight from the notebook. This defeat, like so many others this season, was all about Rodgers’ multiple failures, most of all in tactics and motivation.

Wouldn't of scored if they were playing until Sunday night. Absolutely toothless.
Can't honestly see where the next win comes from.
To cap it all the team that's bottom of the table, with the worst home record in the league, does the double over us.
I can't see anything to be positive about after that.

Fired up?
Where was the pressure on the ref when Cawas chopped? Where was the arguing at the harsh penalty decision. Where were his teammates when Maddison was clattered?
They have no fire.
It’s down to the manager.
That’s the reality.
It's your reality not mine

he 'set them up right'

We lost

He is a fucking fraud

I get that he is his Irish so he gets a pass from you.

Where are the fighters in the team?
Who in that bunch are going to fight tooth and nail ?
They are so mentally weak. We have seen it enough times this season, with batterings and no shows against numerous opponents.
They have got relegation written all over them.

‘Performance was what we would have wanted’.

No shots on target for the second game running. Vulnerable on the break. Yeah, that’s what we all would have wanted.

Oh! When you said “let’s get the big one out of the way first” I didn’t expect the irrelevance of a single incident, in a single football match, of what May or may not have happened if we’d faced 10 men (ie, a different player will score and we still won’t win)

I actually thought you meant THE big one

The lack of leadership on the pitch and in the dug out will finish us . We have the quality in the squad but not the belief or fight .

Sorry, I couldn't see much quality in the squad tonight. Apart from Madders, no one looked like a Premiership player. Southampton weren't much better, but at least they pushed on when they had the chance. It's critical now, and Manager, coaches, and the owners are clutching at straws..

He picked the 'A' team.
We look a totally different team with Maddison pulling the strings.
We made plenty of chances but we didn't convert.
Nacho decided to have one of his pub player days, couldn't control, couldn't head, couldn't shoot, on another day we would've scored 3.
We gave the ball away cheaply in the wrong areas. Faes again made a suicide pass on the edge of the box that wasn't punished.
KDH was yet again woeful.
Zero shots on target against a team that has conceded 41 goals in 24 games before today.
We have no forward on the bench who can come on and make a difference, Daka is garbage and Vardy is getting worse by the week.
We made the worst team in the division look good. not only did they get 3 points, we've made them believe they can stay up.
We had no fight in the second half, too much 'tippy tappy', not enough 'get stuck in'.
The most important thing about today was that the NBC crew were spot on, we don't look like we have the stomach for a relegation fight.
We will be in the bottom 3 by April, and look like doing a bournemouth snatching a relegation spot when we should be miles above.
Rodgers out now.

Daka was very poor today for sure

i know he didn't play, the point is we have no strikers on the bench that can come on and make a difference do we. or can you name them?

No player can make a difference from the bench because Rodgers has wholly mismanaged the Team for over two years

Daka was brought in as a Vardy type replacement but was rarely picked. The transition from Vardy to something else was fucked up.

Ianacho was thrown to the kerb

We stuck with Vardy

Rodgers is a fraud - but the Club and the fans are paying the price. The bill hadn't come in yet though

The lack of pace in central defence is alarming.
Was it Souter that was wading through treacle for their goal ?
There was practically no killer type passes up front, just gentle or mis hit crosses . The Saints keeper had an easy night, in fact did they need a keeper?

The goal wasn't through lack of pace, it was through poor marking and not reading the game.
