BT Sport.

Good morning.

Right now I do not have BT Sport but would like to add it to my system.

I have a combination of BT Fibre 1 broadband at £29.99 and a Sky package including Sky Sports for £51. Adding BT Sport to my Sky package costs a ridiculous £25, way too much for a few footie games.

I should be able to add this to my BT Broadband setup but the website is useless and will not even acknowledge that I have Broadband with them, in theory I should be able to add sport for £7.50-15.00 per month but it is impossible online.

Anyone have any experience of doing this and able to offer any assistance?

If you enjoy screaming and shouting and totally losing your shit once a month at corporate ineptitude and wilful neglect - jack those both in and go for a Virgin Media package that includes all those things you seek as well as the emotions I have described.

You're welcome!

Thanks Eggs, as an ex (some years ago) Virgin customer I have the T shirt.

My current system actually is reliable and works fine, in some respects I am loath to mess with it but I would love to add a bit of Europa League and the Big Bash cricket.

Buy yourself a bottle of cheap scotch every month, much better value and has a similar soporific result

I've got the full bundle with Virgin. Broadband, full TV package and landline. Been paying a fortune for it all. Phoned them up and said Mrs wints had been furloughed and now being made redundant, so needed to cut my costs. Got it down from £140 a month to around £85 with just one change of service. No free international calls, which I've never used anyway.

I did a similar thing wints. Had my broadband, home calls and BT Sport with BT. Never used calls. MyBT box stopped working and had to watch the footie in my iPad.
On top of my Sky stuff I was paying £140 too. Had Netflix on top (£9).
Phoned Sky, pleaded poverty and have now got everything with them for less than £100. They even threw in Sky cinema and include Netflix.
What makes me laugh though is these are multi billion £ companies yet you can haggle with them like being in Patpong!

I am reasonably comfortable with what I pay considering what I get but I would really like to add BT Sport. I would like to be able to watch it on my big screen and record stuff like the Big Bash that takes place at odd hours.

Should be simple but getting any details of how it should work and what exactly it will cost is like pulling teeth. Impossible to find any worthwhile information on the net and, in my experience, they just lie on the phone when they don't know the answers.

having recently had the misfortune of trying to deal with BT regarding BT sport - I would not touch them again. To be able to watch BT sport through my Sky box they charged me £35 admin fee then £29.99 per month on a rolling monthly deal. When I questioned why it did not work on my Sky mini boxes i was informed oh that's an extra £5 per box per month - so in my case £39.99 a month! I never managed to get it to work on my laptop - was continually told it was operating system in error and they could not fix it! Cancelled it immediately and put it down to experience (A very bad one!). Contacted Sky - BT sport through all my Sky boxes for £25 a month - rolling 30 day contract - no admin fee and it works perfectly on Sky Go.

BT are now trying to charge me for cancelling my contract with them - what a bunch of .........

In many respects that Is the way I would like to go as it is a simple and straightforward add on to what I have.

Just that £25 a month for a bit of footie and cricket is a bit steep, actually more than I pay for full Sky sports package and I am not even sure I get good value out of that.

I got Sky to include BT Sport on my Sky Package.
The price is frozen till October 2021.
Admittedly, I have my internet with Sky and have SKY Q with the ability to watch everything in 2 other rooms.
BT Sport is also on my SKY GO.
When is your SKY contract up for renewal?

I've got the, app £10 for the app then just cast it from my phone
That looks like a good idea but details of what it actually does is sketchy and contradictory. If I can cast from my iThing to my TV that would be ok for the footy, but it is I guess in real time only.

Some of the stuff I would actually watch requires time shifting, not something that can be done on the app as far as I can see.

My experience is similar. I was with BT for everything which was ok as all the European footie is on it. But when I added Sky Sports it cost a fortune (£138 a month) and I only got Sky Sports Main Event and none of the other Sky Sports channels. Felt I was being ripped off so went on Uswitch for a better deal. This came up with Sky for everything plus all BT Sports channels in HD and of course all the Sky Sports channels in HD. £75 per month.

BT are claiming I have to pay them for early termination of their contract. This is a scam because if you make even the tiniest upgrade they set the clock for everything from when that happens and claim the contract is for some ridiculous long period. The Sky contract is for 18 months at £75. It is a bit of a pain resetting wifi links but saving that amount of money each month has to be worth it. We have kept BT mail at £7.50 a month as Mrs E claims she cannot live without it. I started moving all my email to gmail to stop having to be reliant on BT.

The whole thing is a scam but I would definitely recommend uswitch.

Double post now watching the mighty Liverpool getting beaten 2-0 by Atlanta on an app.easily available on Google play store called live football.

Get a chromecast cheap on ebay.

I have one which gets used from time to time. However the BT webpage states that the app can only be used to view on the mobile device itself, quite how it stops you casting I have no idea but that is what it says.

Also I tend to time shift a lot of events, in the upcoming cricket Big Bash, games start before breakfast and I would record them and watch them when I am taking it easy in the afternoon. No way of doing that on the app as far as I can see.
