Albrighton

Thorney

Roofer
deserves some credit, got the runaround at Liverpool and last night but still kept going,he is no wing back but gives his all in every game.
The composure he showed in putting that ball into danger zone with the last but one kick of the game was excellent 👏👏

I love him for what he has done and his continued commitment. But he is not a wingback and gave Braga loads of space down the flank as he was a bit out of puff from being further up the field in many examples. An excellent cross for the third so he came up with the goods when needed, but once Timmy and Riccy are back I really cannot see much of a place for him in the team beyond the odd 30 mins in Europa.
Mind you, as a 4th? 5th? 6th? choice wingback he isnt a bad option to come on when needing something so I really am not knocking him

When you consider what he cost, and what he has achieved at City, pound for pound he's one of the clubs best signings in my opinion

What works well for Albrighton is within the first touch of the ball you know that his second touch will be aimed towards Vardy. Everytime. When it works it provides a great opportunity for Vardy to score.

He is very much our slightly lower rent version of Milner. The last few games have shown some flaws in his game if he is fielded in a defensive capacity and worst still some of his crossing in an offensive position was terrible (particularly against Liverpool). If he can't operate defensively and struggles to beat a man or get a ball in the box then he's going to struggle to find game time - but a great servant to the club and I expect a model professional too in training.

At this stage of his career I’m sure he’s happy being done the pecking order. It’s great to have people down the pecking order that we can really rely on.

It’s also hard to knock his defensive work when he was brought to us as an attacking player.
