Talking to my lad tonight about nightclubs and how nowadays lads and girls dance seperately. I said how in my day on a night to Grannys, Baileys etc you used to get into a blind panic at 10 to 2 to get the slowies. Pick a bird up and arrange to meet her at the corner of C&A the next week and forgetting what she look like.

Last dance at Baileys on a week day... walk her home to Highfields... do the biz... wake up with a wet baby in between... walk to work

I remember Granny's from when I was about 19.
£8 to get in,& then free drinks. They would sometimes run out of glasses behind the bar,so you would have to go & pick some up from the tables.
Usually by that time, there would be just whisky & ropey bitter left.

It was in The Sun once, as one of Britain's cheapest nights out.
