Faacking farce
Supporters travelling from Leicester will be checked onto official coaches on the matchday and only then will their match tickets be validated for use.
I don’t understand that validation bit.
How do they ‘validate’ a match ticket?
So, say I was to buy this £45 coach ticket in order to get my match ticket (cos I’m LE3) but then make my own way to the game (train or car) would my ticket not get me in the ground?
Supporters travelling from Leicester will be checked onto official coaches on the matchday and only then will their match tickets be validated for use. Failure to travel by the approved means of transport may result in tickets being cancelled. Supporters must present their coach and match tickets, photo ID and proof of negative lateral flow test result (NHS SMS or email) in order to board an official coach. They probably mean they hand it over to you.
The irony if those in Nuneaton or Birmingham get the train to Leicester and down to London. And heads up anyone travellng from Nuneaton area or Birmingham Euston station is heavily affected by engineering works
I read (maybe on here) the Man City fans were given their tickets on the train, the rest of us have a print at home e-ticket.They probably mean they hand it over to you.
I may have a lift or if not that’s what I’ll be doingThe irony if those in Nuneaton or Birmingham get the train to Leicester and down to London.
It’s all Government led. We know this already, it’s not a surprise.Very sad to say I won’t be going. Stewed on it. Not going to be some glorified guinea pig. Sounds a completely fucking joyless experience in what should be one of the best moments as a fan of this fine club.
No choice but to do 2 hours each way on a bus with a face nappy on. Enforced trip to a testing site. Forced to prove who you are like you live in China or something.
It’s probably nothing to do with the club it’ll be government led I guess but either way it’s not happening.
Hope those that do go have a good time. We’ll win the thing I know we will
Those guys won't have LE postcodes. The irony if those in Nuneaton or Birmingham get the train to Leicester and down to London.
Actually specifically for this reason (not that the loved one went to every one of those finals) at least one family member wants the whole family to spend the whole day together to watch the game (i.e. on TV). But that's all about the living and I'd say it's pretty irrelevant thinking about how someone will feel who now can't (but, hey, whatever gets you through).Over the past year or more many of us have lost loved ones who went to the finals in 49, 61, 63 and 69. Think how they would feel if you were to witness us finally lift that iconic trophy.
Of course all law-abiding citizens will not be watching the game indoors with extended family and/or friends as that would contravene current Government rules. Or will they wave two fingers at Big Brother?Actually specifically for this reason (not that the loved one went to every one of those finals) at least one family member wants the whole family to spend the whole day together to watch the game (i.e. on TV). Who said anything about the family being indoors or how many households were involved?Of course all law-abiding citizens will not be watching the game indoors with extended family and/or friends as that would contravene current Government rules. Or will they wave two fingers at Big Brother?
Just called 119 to find where nearest test centre for LFT. can be taken here and was told there is no difference between supervised testing or home kits.Has the the text you will get will only say positive or negative and not say where test was taken or at what time. This was NHS.official site so tend to believe them all this carp about times and test centres seem as if someone is trying it on to put people off.Are foxes from non LE postcodes meeting up for drinks before and where? It’s all Government led. We know this already, it’s not a surprise.
The only two things that are a surprise are that under 16’s cannot attend and the coach travel from Leicester. I’m amazed they’re not also doing a coach site from Oadby.
For those of you who are considering not going remember this is the FA Cup Final not just some meaningless game. This research is all part of helping the country to reopen again later in the year, including football stadia so we can all enjoy watching our team regularly in future. Over the past year or more many of us have lost loved ones who went to the finals in 49, 61, 63 and 69. Think how they would feel if you were to witness us finally lift that iconic trophy.
From my experience with following England away the games that give you great satisfaction to attend are the ones that are not straightforward. Those where you cannot fly directly into the city and you have to work on coach or train travel. It seems like this will be like one of those kind of trips. I’m lucky I live in London but would I travel on the coach if I lived in Leicester? You bet I would.
It is but there are supervised test centres around which they want you to use incase anything dodgy goes on.As if!!!I always thought that the lateral flow test was the one you did at home, as my lad has to do one for school.
