Now on the official site:

I shall look forward to seeing many of the familiar old faces on day. Deep joy :)

COME ON YOU CITY SLICKERS!!!!

I am refusing to do any of that. Its like a police state and I refuse to do it.
They can all fuck off.
I don't blame LCFC.
They are not in control of this.

Actually, having read some, not all(that'll take a bit longer to read through the screeds of fine print) of all the finer details, it isn't 'Deep Joy' at all is it? I'd naively assumed a negative test and the ID stuff was all that would be required. Gone is the notion of meeting up with a few like minded spirits for a pre-match sherry at a suitable al fresco venue. I'm sure the Big Brother control element will put some otherwise die-hard fans off. I'll sleep on it and decide whether all the hassle is worth it to be there after a trifling 52 year hiatus.

Absolute shambles, so living in Harborough I’ll have to travel north to go south and sit on a bus for three hours with a mask on? Then when I get back it’ll be too late to get a train back!!

Not that any of it is a surprise but my innate need to be at any game we play has really got a battle with my "fuck that for a game of soldiers" gut reaction to all of that.

It’s not a nice read is it really? Feels like herded sheep. Going to require some overnight thoughts.

I think your mature reflection is regrettably correct.
A recipe for a deeply joyless day – and that's before the football.
But before you sleep on it, maybe consider changing your account address to a non-LE mate's home?

You never know, his application for his self-proclaimed People's Republic to have its own Post Code Area might happen in the next week.

Its no contest for me.
Whats left of my privacy, personal freedom and private personal space and rights is not worth throwing away on a game of football.
I was a student in 1969 and couldn't afford a ticket to Wembley.
So not being prepared to go 52 years later has got a certain circularity to it.

The irony of this that having LE postcode used to useful in getting access to away tickets, now its better to live away.

Reminds me of my Swansea supporting mate in London having to travel to Swansea to get an official coach to go to Cardiff away.

Same problem here I don’t live in Leicestershire but have an LE postcode

I can see the Leicestershire border from the end of my garden, I’m the right side of the border for once.
Don’t make much sense to me, pack everyone into coaches but only LE postcodes, then distance in Wembley

And heads up anyone travellng from Nuneaton area or Birmingham Euston station is heavily affected by engineering works

Socially distanced coaches – hence the £s.
Reckon the best seat would be in the luggage area underneath. A roll of bubblewrap – sorted.

Supporters travelling from Leicester will be checked onto official coaches on the matchday and only then will their match tickets be validated for use.

I don’t understand that validation bit.
How do they ‘validate’ a match ticket?
So, say I was to buy this £45 coach ticket in order to get my match ticket (cos I’m LE3) but then make my own way to the game (train or car) would my ticket not get me in the ground?
