Because we have two games a week?Marvellous first half but I cannot help but find it infuriating when we go into rest mode for the second half.
The thing is, when our game management is shit and we let sides back into the game (even when they're hapless like tonight), we end up using more energy and risking more injuries through desperate runs tackles and stretches etc than if we'd stayed on top of thingsBecause we have two games a week?
Why break into a sweat when you’re in control, why risk injuries when you’ve already won. Yes I’d love to win 4-0 like Leeds do but we’re miles ahead of them and have scored more goals.
The second was perfect game management, they weren’t in it.The thing is, when our game management is shit and we let sides back into the game (even when they're hapless like tonight), we end up using more energy and risking more injuries through desperate runs tackles and stretches etc than if we'd stayed on top of things
So was II was thinking just a lucky toe poke and they are back in it.
Has to be said that cross whipped in by their left winger, which evaded all our defenders & their attacker failed to get on the end of, could have made things edgier for us.They had 4 or 5 half chances, any one of which could've reduced things to a single goal lead and the risk of a repeat of the away game, plus others
Precisely.Has to be said that cross whipped in by their left winger, which evaded all our defenders & their attacker failed to get on the end of, could have made things edgier for us.
That was a great goal, with a touch that – dare I say it – reminded me of the snivelling arabJust saw the highlights.
Not sure it's a fair reflection of the game or Ricardo's performance but it felt their biggest thread came from their left (i.e. where Ricardo was), and he seemed to play catch-up unsuccessfully on a couple of occassions.
Nicely cushioned assist for Vardy's goal from KDH who (too) often gets stick for being too clumsy!
Definitely agree with you about Middlesbrough, But our next game is always going to be a bigger challenge!!!!@2nd half we were just going thru' the motions.
Back home, having a beer and looking at the league table.
I think Saturday v Middlesboro' will be more of a challenge.
They are firmly mid-table, GD of zero, let plenty in, not really on any sort of run, with a thick cunt as manager.Definitely agree with you about Middlesbrough, But our next game is always going to be a bigger challenge!!!!@
They changed their tactics a bit, and teams have worked out that we wear them down so are now using all their subs earlier to try and up the tempo, and we're playing and not trying to get too stressed about it I reckon..Marvellous first half but I cannot help but find it infuriating when we go into rest mode for the second half.
Yeah - we are always letting teams back in arent we?The thing is, when our game management is shit and we let sides back into the game (even when they're hapless like tonight), we end up using more energy and risking more injuries through desperate runs tackles and stretches etc than if we'd stayed on top of things
From Dec-Feb games: Ipswich twice, Birmingham, Watford, Millwall (league and cup), Sheff Wed (away) and even Huddersfield for a short spell when they got their first goal before the fourth. Swansea was not put to bed as quickly as it could have been. Kov excluded but earlier subs could have helped earn a point at least.Yeah - we are always letting teams back in arent we?
11 single goal wins, 3 draws from leading positions, and 5 defeats suggest that your childish sarcasm could be slightly misplacedYeah - we are always letting teams back in arent we?
Or that you're just an overdramatic queen..11 single goal wins, 3 draws from leading positions, and 5 defeats suggest that your childish sarcasm could be slightly misplaced
Precisely.From the games

When the ball is moved with purpose, they are brilliant - first half last night was the best of the season for this and was a joy to watch. When we start to "manage" the game, the precision in the game is lost and errors start. Most teams in the division are not capable of taking advantage but I cannot get over the anxiety of thinking what if every time we concede a corner (and we conceded a lot second half yesterday) or gift the ball away.
