Respect and Condolences to the Family of the Liverpool Bomber

As is his apology for a genuine mistake.

The shadow health secretary has now apologised.

Earlier, he paid "respect and condolences" to the Liverpool bomber's family, without mentioning the taxi driver caught up in the terror attack.

Mr Ashworth said: "This is obviously embarrassing I misread the news ticker in an interview and thought a member of the public had now died.

"My deepest apologies for this mistake."

Ashworth was in an interview and misread the news, thought a member of the public had died and expressed condolances, then realised it was the bomber they were talking about and apologised.

Pen 4, surprise, surprise, was straight out the traps, Labour and a suicide bomber.

I have a spare moral compass - would you like to borrow it?

'Labour and a suicide bomber'

Forgive me for being worried about blokes blowing themselves up with the intent to kill many others.

Best I keep quiet 'for the sake of diversity' ?

Where did anyone, but you, mention 'for the sake of diversity' ?

You're attempting to put words in people's mouths.

Ashworth made a mistake, an unfortunate one, he's apologised.

Apologies are beyond most if not all of the senior Tories.

That’s why someone making a mistake & then apologising for it must seem so unusual to some. Possibly interpreted as a sign of weakness or something.

Thanks for taking time out from your very busy life.

This thread is about Jon Ashworth and his fake apology.

So Dowden is agreeing with Johnson who last night expressed his deep sympathy for the person who had lost their life.

How did you miss that Pen 4? Or have you contacted No.10 but can't comment until they get back to you with the facts?

I depise Dowden and Johnson equally for their comments on this crime.

Is that clear enough for you?

Then we can agree mistakes can be made by politicians of all sides.

Genuine & sincere apologies should be welcomed. Those that refuse, deflect or simply not acknowledge their mistake, should be pointed out.

How do you know that it was genuine ?
