Earlier, he paid "respect and condolences" to the Liverpool bomber's family, without mentioning the taxi driver caught up in the terror attack.
Mr Ashworth said: "This is obviously embarrassing I misread the news ticker in an interview and thought a member of the public had now died.
"My deepest apologies for this mistake."

I don't agree with everything that he says but I feel that it's important to consider alternative views.

I depise Dowden and Johnson equally for their comments on this crime.

Then we can agree mistakes can be made by politicians of all sides.
Genuine & sincere apologies should be welcomed. Those that refuse, deflect or simply not acknowledge their mistake, should be pointed out.
