One thing don't think Enzo would give him a place in the starting line-up that's for sureAs slow as Youri looked on the pitch
For me he’d be a perfect pivot, wouldn’t have to move much and his forward passing could be sublime. One thing don't think Enzo would give him a place in the starting line-up that's for sure
I am not so sure about that. I think he'd walk into the team now if he was as he was the first 2 & a half seasons (& frankly in this division maybe the way he was in the last couple of seasons too) and we'd definitely benefit from someone able to control the ball & see a pass as quickly as he can (and the fitness regime now would suit him better too). On his day (and there were a lot of those those first 2 and a half seasons) he was one of the best players I have seen at Leicester. One thing don't think Enzo would give him a place in the starting line-up that's for sure
He may even jog occasionallyI think he'd walk into the team now
As a pivot in an Enzo team he’d hardly have to do that.He may even jog occasionally
I know what you mean Mick but I reckon Buz has summed it up.Depends Hackney l think but don't know but I think he's lost the love of playing football he looked completely disinterested at times down here, as though that was the case
How do you address it though? We’re sadly missing his creativity, but not his couldn’t give a shit attitude. It was quite clear he was never going to sign a contract extension so that should have been addressed before he walked for nothing.
Past his sell by dateFA Cup winning legend and one of the most gifted players we’ve ever had.
Hindsight is wonderful. With it we’d have flogged him the summer after that goal. We tried to keep our best players rather than keep with our plan to sell one star player each year and that was part of what eventually led to our relegation. He had Rudkin by the balls after the Cup Final goal.
I don't believe we ever had a plan to sell one star player every year, it just panned out that way.Hindsight is wonderful. With it we’d have flogged him the summer after that goal. We tried to keep our best players rather than keep with our plan to sell one star player each year and that was part of what eventually led to our relegation.
It is. But if a player is stalling on signing a new contract then cash in and take the flak.Hindsight is wonderful. With it we’d have flogged him the summer after that goal.
