Is because the close, possession based style can never stir us. Yes we can smile at some of the times it strips a defence and gets us in front of goal (eventually) but I felt more when we suddenly sprang the opposition and got JV and JDH in on their keeper recently.
But Enzo was not impressed, preumably preferring twenty passes to achieve the same effect.
Those goals were dramatic and stirring. Not like standing on the ball or square passing at the back. Obviously it is not a model for all of a game but should be part of our armoury.
An expecting travelling fans to cheer the players after Bristol is mindless. The players were embarassed, rightly.
