What an awful awful night.

Brauny

The optimistic pessimist
They bottled it.
I am struggling with this one..
I can accept bad results, but this was appalling.
No belief from the first whistle, caved in.
The first game where you expected a challenge and they capitulated from the the first whistle.
This wasn't a regulation defeat it was us being exposed for supposedly being nailed on.
I didn't feel that after Hull but I do tonight

We’ll still canter this league.

Enjoy your Saturday, safe in the knowledge that come August when we kick off vs Wolves, very few of this lot will have made Enzo’s starting XI

We won't make it based on that shite tonight
We have done so well in terms of results but maybe we are over hyped. The last 2 or 3 games have been hard work and this performance would have lost to just about every premier league team. Leeds were better than us but not great, they didn't need to be.
It was one of those games that right from the start I sensed it wasn't going to be a good night.
As I said previously they need a reaction.
I hope Enzo starts by getting them to be more mobile. The amount of times Faes or Vesta stood still with the ball at their feet with all our players further up also standing still is not the way to play football . No movement nobody to pass to, Leeds found it relatively easy to nullify us and we caused them very few problems.
Must do better, work to do.

Leeds weren't great, we shot ourselves in the foot by playing with lethargic minds and a game that we didn't create the right tempo.

We are living in a fools paradise
A lot of the teams in this division are very poor and they
have poor quality squads beating these teams gets three points but proves little
Leeds had a decent squad and we were second best in all departments even
the manager was out thought
We are not a good side in relation to the premiership and very few players playing
last night will do anything if we are promoted
Vestegaard has your main plan to build an attack is laughable 😁

Well I hope enzo is one of those gaffers that what he says in his interviews is the opposite to what he actually says to the team because he didn’t once say anything to the effect of being disappointed with the fact we didn’t create anything, only that he was pleased & the match went exactly how he thought.

Hard game to watch tbh, I took my Leeds grandson in Sk1 with me last night and he could not believe how we turned on our players walking away from ground. Top of the league + 11points clear of Leeds, sometimes we just amaze me. Funny old game 🤔

It wasn't the defeat so much, we just didn't create Leeds enough problems.
Only 1 shot on target in 90 minutes and on our own patch is not going to win many football games.
There was some flak on here a couple of weeks ago about us not taking our chances, I said the time to worry was when we weren't making opportunities. That's what happened last night.
Leeds kept us comfortably at arms length whilst showing they were capable of finding holes in our defence, At times I wondered where our midfield was.
The only positive is that we walked away with a 11pt gap and that's still a big lead. They need to get back on it asap though or it will soon disappear.

Just can't understand a) why so many people are surprised, and b) why so many people are saying not to worry, we're good.
Look at that article and at what the non-brainwashed have been saying all season – we've only been winning cos the oppo have been dire.

for some reason, it feels like when Taylor had us top of the league after a draw at Sunderland.

We knew we were crap but somehow we were at the top.

I thought a few weeks ago that complacency might be one of our biggest risks. Maybe or hopefully this is serving as a wakeup call that the job is far from done.

I am not sure how any manager thinks it's ok for the team to spend the first 30 minutes practically walking around. We were at home not away, if you are away then you want to quieten the home crowd. Our players did the away teams job for them by reducing everything to a snails pace.
At one point Mavididi jestured to our fans to raise the noise, well my friend they needed you and your colleagues to give them something to shout about.
We gifted the initiative straight to Leeds with our opening 5-10 minutes. Leeds weren't that good but we made it easier for them by not being positive enough.
We are on our own ground, FFS use the advantage of the home support by starting faster.
The fans would have got behind them but they flattened the atmosphere with that static style of play.

We could/should have 4 less wins that we do IMO
But we don't, we are where we are. If we've been winning playing this way, why would he change it all of a sudden? We've been a goal behind and won in previous games, he obviously thought we could do it again.

We've lost for the first time since the Hull defeat and people are starting to say we're crap. I think people need to calm down a bit. Let's give it a few more games and see, if we go on a losing streak then maybe we could be a bit more concerned.

It wasn't so much the result for me, it's the way we approached the game.
It just seems to take so long for us to wake up and get going. I don't believe that's going to encourage the crowd and put to use our home advantage.
I am sure when we go to Leeds they won't be hambling around for nearly 30 minutes. Their crowd will be bang on it and I am sure our lot will know it'll be a tough game.

I for who l am...... thought the first 15 mins at home to a team in third place was piss poor when we needed to make a statement of intent we pissed about like a Saturday afternoon team on a recee, it gave Leeds a philip they didn't need and after that we lost the plot, nobody showed any intention of grabbing the game back, so Leeds carried on merrily whilst we dug a deeper hole which engulfed us

We have flattered to deceive a bit this season especially at the beginning but ultimately we are superior to the vast majority in this league and the law of averages tells you a poor performance was due.
I very much doubt and hope that Enzo has this squad in mind to compete in the PL when we reclaim our rightful place 👍

sack the board---this run of defeats will not do

Don’t know if you’ve listened to him post match.
After saying that he thought we played well, he made an even more baffling statement by saying if there was a slight bugbear it was that we tried to force things a little instead of retaining the ball??
Jesus, he wants us to piss about with it more than we actually do.

Goes back to my point about how we approached the game.
Blackthorn ( Kendal) accurately summed my feelings up.
I would have swapped defeats for more a less any other game apart from Cov, because this was not only a test but it was also a chance to put a giant gap between us and 3rd.
You surely can't start your bigger challenges with such a lacklustre tempo that allows a dangerous opponent a strong foothold in the game.
It's not a case of knee jerk reactions and jokey statements about sacking people, but they seriously need to analyse this pedestrian way they begin games.
Show the intent from the start and put a lot more energy into it from the moment the whistle goes.
Leeds didn't hang about, they seized on our lacklustre approach and could easily have been 2 up in the first 5 minutes.
It needs addressing.

Somewhere within this thread would've been an acerbic, witty reposte to the abject misery pouring out after only our second defeat of the season in November, November!!

Just one of the numerous reasons I shall miss him.
