We're playing the ressies tomorrow

The next 12 games are the most important since ..... the last 12 of last season, fuck this up and the cost could be unimaginable financially and will put the club back years. Just look at Stoke and Swansea, light years away from what they were just a few years ago. Imagine injuries to key players like Justin, Ricardo, Faes , KDH, Fatawu in tonight's game, no complaints from me about resting these.

We are getting promoted anyway so why not go strong and get us to the Quarters. Can't believe how many people are worried. We are getting promoted full stop being it first or second

Until around the 80th minute on Friday, this would have been a reasonable assumption. I don't think it is now. Our capitulation against Leeds changed everything. We can't afford to take chances with the league, so we need to keep all the key players away from the FA Cup until or unless promotion is pretty much nailed on.

It wasn't a capitulation. A couple of deflections didn't go our way. We had a perfectly good goal disallowed.

I can't believe anyone would be daft enough to think it's in the bag.
Didn't our attempts to qualify for the CL serve as the perfect reason as to why you can never take anything for granted with City
We were about 15pts ahead of 4th place on one of those attempts and managed to screw it up.

Incredible really that you don't see the potential risks to our No1 target for the season and the absolute priority of promotion.
What good would it be if we fielded our strongest team and won, but picked up a couple of key injuries in the process ?
Then on Saturday we are forced into changes and get beat by an inferior but fitter and fresher QPR who've had their feet up all week.
We can't jeopardize our promotion push, even the countries top clubs prioritise games according to their relevance and importance.

The reason they were able to get close enough to our goal for those deflected shots to go in was because we'd retreated to the edge of our box, having given up on attacking. Leeds' substitutions made them much more threatening; ours significantly weakened us. Even after they equalised, we could have salvaged a point, which would have left us nine points ahead of them. Our collapse in the final few minutes was shameful.

I still believe we will be promoted, most likely as champions. But I don't want us taking any risks on key players in another competition. It's just not worth it.

In a game that will be in the memory of one of their all time legends Stan Bowles. They are bound to want to perform well.

Good point.
They are right on the trapdoor as it stands and will be fighting for survival.
After our two defeats the pressure is on us to kick on again. We need to be on it or QPR will sense the agitation and nervousness in our fans.
It's probably our biggest game of the season so far and it could be pivotal, either it will be a sigh of relief or the makings of a meltdown.

It's slightly different from being pursued by Chelsea, Liverpool and Spurs to Leeds, Southampton and Ipswich 😂😂
