I haven’t read the article yet but isn’t there some new owners waiting in the wings to buy the club but they keep hanging on to see if they get relegated?

Th article suggest that the longer the change takes, the more unlikely it is to go through as Everton have to keep taking on extra debt to manage through the interim period.
