Tiredness, too many games

Now forgive me for being ultra critical
But firstly the excuse of tiredness baffles
me, 180 mins plus a week having what is now 5 subs, dont these clubs think about what the success brings didn't they think about all these competitions that success brings, didn't they think about Europe and the golden goose!!
I say this because a lot of the noise is coming from the more successful, why not rotate your first team pool?
They won't because they don't want to.
Success brings money prestige but also
Injuries didn't they think of those things.

Too many matches well blame the FA and EUFA for those
I rest my case

Just pay them per game, make them self employed, no sick pay, no holiday pay. I’m sure that will help with tiredness.

Well this is what I’ve mentioned before compared to other sports. Tennis & Golf being two good examples. You don’t play you don’t get paid prize money. Play badly and your money isn’t that good. Plus you’ve got to pay for your own travel, airfare, coaches etc.
Wesley Fofana has earned £1.4 million per MATCH he’s played for Chelsea since signing. And half of those he was crap.

It’s all bollocks .. I am absolutely convinced that professional players can play twice a week for 40 weeks a year. If for some reason top players have a ‘gap’ the clubs or the FA fill it with another money spinner. Even if they are a bit ‘tired’ squads are so big that they can rotate with very little impact.

The reason that top teams want less domestic games is the same reason that top cricketers want to play less .. if you get a ton of money because you have a reputation as a ‘world beater’ the last thing you want is to play lots of games against apparently ‘weaker’ opposition who are keen to prove they are just as good as you. It’s actually about risk reduction and brand management.

Making sure that football is on the tv every day is a issue & trying to make sure there’s a game being played near on every minute from Friday night to Sunday evening is a joke.

You can't really compare individual sports like tennis and golf to football, but yes it is difficult to have any sympathy for people being made into millionaires for being good at something they enjoy. There's people grafting 40+ hours per week for a fraction of what they earn in a week.

Part of the problem is the summer games. The Nations League. Pre season tours abroad. Obviously tournaments every two years.

Since Covid the top players haven’t had more than just 2 or 3 weeks off in the summer. They’re all absolutely knackered and that won’t be changing this summer.

We cant really rotate that much as we only really have around 11 decent players and then some who just make up the squad numbers.
