Definitely an education thing, and done on purpose. Why are we not taught about banking, basic investment, paying bills, growing fruit and vegetables at school etc? There's a reason why.For a while in the 90s I lived in the Czech Republic, just after they were free of the Russians. There were apple trees alongside most of the country roads. The apples were tasty. No one ever picked or harvested them.
Not saying its a bad idea but you see the most "broke" people are the ones eating the most takeaways and shop sandwich meal deals rather than making their own at a fraction of the cost. Maybe an education thing?
