Gonna pick you up on this one…. Evans played several long pinpoint passes to Castagne, definitely more forward than sideways!
For me the bigger problem is that the midfield are too willing to give it back to the defence instead of carrying it forward.

Answering my own post like a lunatic….. I’ve just remembered, Soyuncu ran with the ball and took it around 60/70 yards….. but all his team mates looked on on thought ‘wtf is he doing, that’s not in the plan’

I think the problem on Wednesday was both our creative midfielders, I.e. Maddison and Barnes, who have the potential to unlock a defence were at home with the shits. Wheras Pérez, apart from his flick on forthe goal, was dogshit.
