Stop The LCFC Loyalty Tax

Just seen that the ability to buy a new card doesn't go live until Friday...after the meeting.

As a cynic, it gives them a day to "climb down", announce they've listened to supporters, and introduce a new price of £15 which was probably always the intention.

I know you don't need telling this Semper, but please stress to them that no-one needs a new card...I'm sure 99.9% are happy to use this year's one at zero additional cost, and zero environmental impact (they already exist). Sending out new cards is the very worst impact, and goes against their stated aim of environmental sustainability.
Completely agree.
It shouldn't cost anything extra to use a card.
Any amount other than free is taking the piss.
We are all behind you, go get the fuckers Semper!

This will end the same way it did when back in the day the club tried to call the new stadium the Walkers Bowl.

Full retraction of this policy incoming. It's ill thought out and seems totally unneccesary, however if there is a sizeable cohort who are abusing the ticketing policy then they are shoulder some of the blame.

Just out of curiosity, how many have partaken in the free: beer, scarves, mince pies, cup cakes, coconuts, clappers, flags etc...?

If Rudkin hadn't given exorbitant contract out to bang average players perhaps we would not be in such a predicament.
It might be worthwhile if him a Susan Whelan contributes £25 per head from there vastly over inflated salaries.

Exactly. Patson Daka.

But £25 for a card that’s it, letters, petitions.

We’re a weird bunch.

If the club had been smart, they could have upped "non-qualifying free plastic card" season ticket prices by £25...

OK thanks buddy. Arrogant in the extreme. Pass on our thanks and appreciation for the collective efforts and we'll hope for a positive outcome.
BTW no reply to my e mail, no surprise there either.

Incidently this was, other than the game ahead, the only subject of conversation on Tuesday night. I was quite shocked at the number of folk who's opening gambit was "well, it doesn't really affect me..." to which I replied, they'll be coming for you next year if this is allowed to stand. FFS.

Disgraceful!
Yes it is mate. Wondering what the new strap line will be...

This of course is what they hope for, those not affected shrugging shoulders, business as usual - until suddenly it ain't. As I said in an earlier post our inclusive club are now being openly discriminatory and I'm hoping a legal bod amongst us is going to take this up. Takes hypocrisy to new levels.

It is noticeable how many people this time last year were saying "if they make it mandatory I'm done" and are now very quiet, presumably cos they are over 65 and exempt.

Although it doesn't apply to me either, I am in agreement with those to whom it does apply. I was behind a couple at the last home game whose wife went through with her Q code but her husband's didn't work. Steward tried to help without success. Gentleman then had to go all way round to the office (from 31/32 gate). The couple were mature and obviously capable of using their phones. I've used books of paper tickets, cards which were reissued each season and the current card which is loaded per season. Never a problem. If it works - keep it.
Thank you and good morning plus happy birthday to Soho!

Or just relieved "it" (mobile ticketing) isn't mandatory and are prepared to pay the £25?

For me, as I say I think the £25 charge is a shit move (and, yes, I am not exempt) but whatever you might think of people who do accept it however grudgingly (or not as the case may be), there will be plenty who do. We will all have our own line on this (100% mobile; card option with no cost; card with small cost; card with any cost etc.). I'll not share mine other than to say I back all efforts to ensure the club retain a physical ticket option & to reconsider the pricing of those tickets.
