Stadium Expansion v Seagrave

Think the club made a huge mistake building Seagrave before developing the stadium and surrounding areas
Again fans are scrabbling for tickets for next season eight years since winning the Premier League
More revenue would be coming into the club rather than having a luxury spa at Seagrave
Still nowhere near and could be 10 years since winning the league before any progress is made 😀

Suppose they prioritised the playing side over the commercial, but I agree with you.
The ground plans should also be much bigger, to make it the largest stadium in the region.
Bigger arena as well...

Supposedly one of the best facilities in Europe and one of the biggest attractions to sign for Leicester...but is it? Clearly not good enough for a truck load of the fuckers, but maybe they're just shit at darts, snooker, 8-Ball and pitch n putt! 🤔 💩

But how realistic was that? Designing, getting planning permission & building on a greenfield site in the arse end of nowhere near the A46 versus designing extending & building on an existing site - and being able to do so in a way that doesn't restrict existing revenue streams through reduced capacity - close to the middle of a city with the concomitant impacts & infrastructure challenges (though let me say I am completely in favour of us remaining in the city)?

If you are looking at what can be delivered, when then it seems less surprising that Seagrave came first. From Planning Application to opening took about the same time as the whole Planning Application process for the ground expansion & associated development.

Could they have started the ground expansion process earlier? Well, yes, I guess so but, again, hardly a surprise they didn't tackle them both at the same time and especially given that only a few years ago wise sages like you would have been (and I have a feeling were) questioning why we would extend the ground given our level of support.

And if your training facility helps you attract & keep talent that improves performance or allows you to attract, develop and, if required, sell the best young players then it is hardly a zero value proposition. Alas though that is equally dependent on how you do it & who you choose to manage & run it.

But, yes, I want to see progress on the ground asap!
