School boy error

Blue-streak

Roofer
Forgot to tell the mrs city are plating in Europe tonight. Get out of work and she’s told me she’s planning a seaside get away for this afternoon into tomorrow.

now, I’m only 30 and haven’t got the experience you boys have in these situations so a bit of advice would be welcome.

tell her and the kids to do one and go one their own? Go with them and have a sly look at the score when I get the chance?

What’s your experience? What’s the answer :D

Blue Streak..... 60 year old City fan here, who has 20+ years experience in these matters. We love Leicester and we love our families, so the answer is in 'compromise'

Tape the game, go for a nice family day at the seaside, stay-off social media, tell your wife of the sacrifice and not to tell you score if she hears it
Then when you come home, put the kids to bed and settle down and watch the game. Will be like watching live, if you dont know the score and you gain major brownie-points with the wife.

Let us know how it goes

It’s all sound advice gents thankyou!
wombat, I like the cut of your jib! Think il go with the old “make it feel like a sacrifice” routine :D
To those watching the game - enjoy! come on Leicester!!

Simple answer, be like me, and marry a woman who also supports Leicester.
Good God, what a dreadful idea. One of the happiest days of my life was when, after taking my now wife to a game, I asked if she enjoyed it. "It was ok" she replied. "Do you want to go again?" I asked. "No" came the reply much to my relief.

It was the best day of my life meeting my wife.
We go to all games together, home away, abroad.
When we win, we celebrate together, when we lose, we commiserate together.
What's not to like ?

I spend most weekends like that Wombat. That's the beauty of DAZN. I've no problem avoiding the result if I've got shit to do and watching it in the evening. There have been a few close calls with well wishing friends calls and texts. The night we beat Southampton 9-0 I was playing pool with friends and family who all knew and managed to keep it quiet. Having said that, I don't think I could wait until the next day.

DAZN is great SC.... you don't even need to "record" the game. If DAZN shows a game, it automatically saves for 7-days afterwards so you can select & watch at time best for you.
I work shifts, so it's great..... nothing worse than you being out on the rioad and you realize your forgot to tape the game before leaving the house!

I love that feature where you can switch all the games to Highlights and just see all the goals. If you start at the first game, it just rolls through all the others. Oh! and that Seema is easy on the eye.

Buzz - we do most things 'as a family' and have a blast. My monthly game of golf during the summer months (I live in Canada) with my mates is a blast, starting off with passing round the Scotch in the car-park when we arrive at the course, then 18-holes of off-colour jokes and lads banter, chatting up the always attractive cart-girls that drive round the course with cold beers and sandwiches for the golfers.
Last week, my wife said she wouldn't mind getting some lessons so we can play golf together every week after I retire :rolleyes::rolleyes:
I said - it's best to have our own separate hobbies.....would you like to come out and start digging & helping you in the garden?
Think I dodged that bullet for the time being :)

Yes - watch the games you are really interested in, selct highlights for 2 minutes of goals and controversial bits, for all the others! It's great and they have the PL contract for next two seasons
