We don’t very often have a good Boxing Day.

We’re rarely away from home.

Ipswich need the win more than we do and are clearly a very decent outfit.

We’re also on TV this evening.

I honestly think we’ll lose today. If you offer me a point right now I’ll snap your hand off.
 
The recent string of wins allows us a setback which wouldn't unduly cause us major damage.

That said the prospect of breaking Ipswich who have stuck to us doggedly in the table would bring it's own disappointment should we lose.

For the 2nd half of the season, play -off form would almost certainly get us automatically promoted, so today's result won't define the ultimate goal.
 
I think the way they play it’ll play into our hands. What we mustn’t do though is go 2 goals down as no doubt they’ll go for it from the first minute. It then becomes v difficult. But nevertheless I can see loads of goals in this and a breakaway for sure by us.
 
l think today is equal to Man City away 15/16, l said that day that we've just won the league -today can be the same.

My problem is I'll be in the dog house if l go, as we've got all the family up for Crimbo and a party tonight. l think I'll have a pitch inspection at 3.00 and see if they've softened up.

Southampton are on a strong run of results.
They have a very friendly looking fixture list for about the next 2 months. Everyone looks at Leeds but I think the Saints are a real danger.
With 3rd and 4th chasing hard, I'd expect at least one of them will fancy automatic promotion.
I think this is a massive game for Ipswich today.
I think they feel the pressure from 3rd and 4th.
It could well be a pivotal day for them.
Lose and the wheels may well be coming off.
Win and they will still hold a strong 2nd with 2 crunch games out of the way.
Big day for us all.
The amazing run of results we have had is good enough for a defeat to still keep us 10 clear.
I will be well satisfied with a point but it's not the end of the world if it doesn't happen.
