Preat

Always thought he was a good footballer made a difference along with Yunis when they came on and helped win us the game 👍🏻

He’s just another Mendy.

On his day he’s a Rolls Royce, but they’re rare and most of the time he’s on the ramp in the garage getting fixed.

I dont think Mendy ever let us down and if twatface had given him a decent chance we would have stayed up
Not that I have anything against Mendy, I mean he didn't make me want to headbutt the wall in frustration but the idea that his 5 yard sideways passing and occasional harrying was the difference between us staying up or going down is frankly laughable.

Played(!!!) under 4 full time Leicester managers (not including Smith who must surely rank as a caretaker). Only came close to starting regularly under Puel I think. Rodgers liked him enough to give him a new contract after his initial one expired... and then a year later completely dropped him from the squad for the first half of the season. Unfortunately his LCFC career is one that symbolises the mixed up thinking & strategy of the last decade.

As for Praet, flatters to deceive. There's quality there but, leaving aside the injuries, every time he has been asked to step up and play a bigger role he's been found wanting.

Mendy under Claudio would have been interesting to see - his style would have been more suited to a less possession dominated approach. His LCFC career never recovered from the ankle knock (against Arsenal?) minutes into it.

I was a fan, but like BNB says, every time he's needed to up his game he hasn't.
My take is that some of the euro players who come here to England are technically better than a lot of the homegrown ones but also get more time on the ball in the euro leagues. When they come here they don't, so they get flustered and cough it up, or take the easy short pass option to get rid of it. Silva was the same. Some adapt, some don't.
