Pompey 71: A fella on FB needs a bit of info

Bought wholesale from Shearlings International when they had their gaff near Coton Arches!

From the Union Wool & Leather factory where Sainsbury's is now.

Our school rugby pitches were just over the Riversley Park walk from UWL and when they were in production it kicked up a right noxious stink. Wouldn't be allowed these days, but after breathing in the sulphuric effluent for a period of time it felt as if you were chewing it.

BLUE ARMY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

l was there and my experiences are probably not exactly what they want, buts it what happened. I was 14 and we got up to what 14 year olds got up too. I went Heskey's uncle who is my age, knew him from down the city before. The Pompy fans targeted him because he was black even though we took over the place. Bevo (who live about 8 houses from me) got a glass in face before the game. We went for the day not paying for anything option of food and drinks, as we had nothing to pay for them with anyway. Most of my mates had gone on the train but the bus was cheaper l went that way as l always knew someone. Couldn't risk jumping the train because l didn't want to miss it.. I can still see Greg running past Fratton station as we ran in there after they chased us before the game, we thought if Gregs running so are we ! Then train after train of Leicester kept rolling up. Brilliant day, remember getting back to Leicester knackered but none of us wanted to go home, didn't want the day to finish.

I'm petty certain they got the Shield presented in the upper their of the main stand, thats why we went on the pitch for. 98% sure we got it that day. It seemed to take ages for them to get up there and it was going off a bit. with a small mob of Pompey on the pitch. It was the antidote to losing 2 years earlier at Wembley, it got a lot even more hooked.

Spud Taylor ran through Fratton Sidings like a scene from Benny Hill according to D.Freer the plumber
