'gave an outstanding interview to become No 1 target ahead of other candidates, including Steven Gerrard and Scott Parker'

Maresca will understand the infrastructure around the Man City machine (ignoring the ffp issues).
That knowledge alone trumps the likes of Parker, Gerrard and Co.
Give him a chance to get us back on our feet.
Not sure about the infrastructure, but if he can get a squad of players prepared to work as hard as Man City do off the ball we'll be going places.

Possible panic appointment.
On the plus side, he's a Pep protégé.
On the downside, he's only ever won 4 games as a gaffer.

I like the appointment.Yes it is s bit of a gamble but prefer him to Gerrard, Parker, Smith etc. We need root and branch reform, let's give him time to implement a style and get the youth and under 21 team sorted. Bodgers was supposed to do this and this is one of the main reasons Seagrave was built.

What is cambiasso's link to Enzo? Just wondering how he is qualified to advise on marescas coaching abilities.

LCFC respect Cambiasso based on that one season he helped us stay up, I dunno how he knows Maresca and I dunno if Cambiasso has got or started his coaching badges,?

Yeah he aint really is he. Will just be Rudkin looking in his phonebook at his very limited football contacts.
Yep. It's just PR. Someone leaked all this to Percy.

Someone told Percy how great the interview was.
Someone told Percy how he wants to revolutionise seagrave (knowing fans have suspicions about the place)
Someone told Percy about cambiasso (knowing the fans love him)

I'll take it with a pinch of salt. Still prefer this option to parker.

Seagrave for me is THE key as to why he’s coming. It’s an amazing set up compared with pretty much anything in the PL never mind the championship. The simple problem is there’s no point having a Ferrari if you can’t drive it to its full potential. You might as well have a Skoda. Since its introduction Seagrave has been a playground not a workplace. With Maresca as the driver I’m hoping he can take the Ferrari through the gears a damn sight faster than Rodgers ever did, who let’s face it, was probably still on the grid looking into the mirror at himself whilst the rest approached the first corner.
