Pearson sacked

Primarily I wish him well regarding his health. Neurological conditions can often lead to a terrible diagnosis that no person deserves.

On a footballing point, I was delighted when we sacked him, he had clearly taken the squad as far as he could imo. But that doesn't mean I don't thank him for the terrific job he did up until then, and wish him success for the future.

On the face of it this seems a bizarre decision, especially when all the ground work had apparently been done.
We all saw he can be a difficult person at times, and maybe this is a personality decision and not a footballing one?

Have only just picked this up, amazed, wish him all the very best, neurologist is some serious shit, so glad he was given such a standing ovation the other week.

Is that a serious suggestion Harwich ? The Gas are a league one side with a long history, with loyal fans. They have to be; last time we were in League 1 their ground was by miles the worst place I visited that season.

Bradford Park Avenue are now in League 8. No one has ever suggested they merge with Bradford City. When Bradford City's score is announced at half time they cheer if they are losing, like we do with F*r*st or the Sheep.

Apologies for self indulgence.

Last time we played at Bristol City me and the lad(much younger then) were trying to find a pub that the Barwell lads had just phoned us from to go and meet up with them. The location of said pub was proving a little bit tricky to find. Yours truly then espies a Postman walking towards us. “Fear not son”,says I,”I will ask yonder Postie for directions”……
Postie was very obliging and gave directions albeit in his rather quaint local accent….. “yoos naaht from around eee’re then” inquires the Postie….. “No”,I replied, “we are from Leicester and here to see our game at Bristol City”…..
Sudden and perturbing incandescent storm of rage from Mr Postie…..
“Bristol faaackin’ City,Bristol faaackin’ City, oi faaackin’ hates ‘em oi do, baaarstaards”……..
“OK mate, thanks see ya” as I quickly, safely, shepherded the lad past Mr Postie who’s head seemed to be steaming by this point!
Somehow I can’t see any merger between the 2 Bristol clubs happening any time soon!

January 12th 2013. Bristol City 0 Leicester City 4. Chris Woods hat-trick.
My lad was 13 then. Hope the “Gas” loving Postman got a smile out of that result!

I lived in Bristol for 8 years I know the rivalry, wouldn't have said that then but at one time rovers were without a stadium . Saw city lose 3-1 in the cup lineker had just left I think.

I’ve seen Leicester play at three Bristol Rovers grounds. Eastville, Twerton Park in Bath and the Memorial Ground where they are now when we played them in League One!

When you see the likes of Luton, Bournemouth and Brentford in the Premier League, you wonder why a billionaire like Lansdown in a big thriving city like Bristol is so reluctant to spend any money.

I’ve said that Bristol City has always been a club whereby someone could buy them relatively cheaply and get them promoted. They’re a sleeping ‘giant’. Plymouth are the same. Both could easily attract 35000+ in the PL if they had the facilities

You might say the same about Cov!
