My take on last night

I watched for 80 minutes so after that l cannot say.
For 70 minutes we made a good side look very ordinary and apart from our woeful attempts at scoring we looked solid enough

But after the substitutions which I felt was wrong .....l would have left Mavadidi as he was trouble for most of the match
alone and took off Fatawa brought on Albrighton and Cannon, it was just after that the bells started ringing to me we were retreating and it gave an otherwise poor Leeds side a lift so we went deeper and deeper and l knew what would happen so l turned the TV off.
Disgusted, embarrassed angry

The retreat from Moscow was nothing compared to this abdication of duty God knows what the travelling fans thought they must have took some pisstake.

Their substitutions injected urgency for them too - we looked like a boxer that wasn’t aware what had hit them or how to react afterwards.

I thought the team were excellent for 80 mins but just can't kill the game when they are on top, a 1-0 lead always feel vulnerable, it only takes another poor refereeing decision or conceding a lucky deflected goal to change it and so it proved. Once it was 1-1 the team fell apart and that is a big weakness. If anyone thinks the games coming up will give us easy points, think again, last night was a big dent in our team confidence, promotion is no certainty, lose out and Leicester City will be in the wilderness for a very long time.

No, poor finishing is not about luck but wrong refereeing is.
In any sport if a clearly superior side loses then other factors have come into play.

For me most of the game just proves that when we're 'on it' there's not a team in this division that can live with us, sometimes the best side doesn't win and that's football unfortunately and that's why any team can win a cup but over the whole season the best team will finish first and last night just underlines it to me that the best side is us

Bizzare result...but that's football.
Pawson was fucking dire and the club need to complain about it.
I wouldn't have played choudhary from the start or took mavi off....cannon would have been a better choice up front for me, but sometimes you have to lose a battle to win a war.
And remember a lot of this team won't be around come the premiership.

Disgusted, embarrassed angry? Get real.

We seem unable to respond to a change in intensity from the oppo. In the closing stages when we are defending a slim lead you need leaders and experience to organise and demand from the rest. We clearly do not have those leaders and descend into a bit of a rabble. In the past players like Taggert annd Elliott and Morgan and Shmeichal would sort them out but we start to have players disappearing. For me bringing McAteer on instead of Albrighton was bad strategy and maybe Cody for Vestergaard too would have been better.

The timing of these 'collapses' is not accidental.
Opponents with nothing to lose flood our goal area with more bodies than we, or any, system, can cope with.
All it needs is a toe poke or a deflection and they get something.

But that always happens when you try to hang on to a flimsy lead

I was too upset on Friday to commentate on what I’d just seen. To put some perspective on it I thought for 70 mins we were brilliant. The midfield 3 totally dominated and were the best I’d seen this season.
But Mavididi does my head in. He thinks he’s Mahrez. He’s good but he’s not that good. He should have tested that Leeds FB far more and he wasn’t tracking back as he should. We scored a perfectly good second. That’s counts it’s game over. There were many similarities to the Cov game to me. They created nothing in the second half until they scored. Then we collapsed although their second was v lucky. A double deflection.
But I reckon we now won’t get beaten again and will win it by at least 8 points. Far from feeling down I feel better today as Friday showed with a bit more guile up front we’d have won by a mile. That’s all we needed. Vardy up front? We’d have won.

I’d have to disagree with that line this time. While we have plenty of times this season done as you say & had a 1 goal lead & not made enough effort to kill the game off, thus leaving us susceptible to a late game changing goal.
We did make plenty of effort to finish the game off Friday, unfortunately it was woeful finishing that did us.

A fella l know said to me that we concede late every time we make substitution and shouldn't have changed a team that was dominating. I actually can't disagree even though l wanted Daka off the pitch from the kick off and l think he weakens our team so much. But this fella isn't wrong is he !

Agree with many others - for the first 45 mins we shaded it, for the first 30 mins of the second half we played them off the park. But the play once Leeds equalised was very weak

Bringing Cannon on was fine, Daka was blowing out of his arse, which was a reason he missed his sitter. Mavadidi probably needed to be subbed too, but Macateer was poor.

A word too for Choudhury. Summerville has been, probably along with Jack Clarke, the best winger in the League. Apart from the time when Vestergaard had to make that great saving tackle, he didnt have a sniff, Choudhury played him very well.

Following are our stats for the players with the best goals+assists/mins for all games this season.
Daka 76.3mins
Vardy 92.3
Cannon 102
Nacho 124.5
KDH 130

Daka got a load of blame (including from me) for the loss on Friday but, we scored from his assist, he scored the disallowed goal, our pressing in the first half was due to him, they scored after he went off, although as Bradnor mentioned above he was blowing out of his arse.

If he's put away that sitter he'd have been motm with 2 goals and an assist.
Just a shame Vardy wasn't available to replace him instead of Cannon.

In the first half of the season we were containing teams and tiering them out, we would then win the gate with late goals (or second half goals). Now, since we've been moaning about the boring football its switch around, we seem to be well on top but getting tired ourselves then fucking the job up at the end.

We do seem to get worse when we bring on subs really.

Why Hackers if you don't get the service even Vardy can do very little, anyway we were on the retreat after the subs
Anyway a tired downhearted Mavadidi would have been better than his substitute
