Missing Sitters

Boro game miss 5 sitters
Leeds game miss 5 sitters
Bristol C game miss 5 sitters

Ordinary/average finishing in them games turns 0 points into 9 points. 9 points has us very comfortable.

There are lots of irritating things about us right now.. the tame surrender/acceptance of fate once we are behind.. the baffling substitutions.. The manager does deserve criticism for these things.

But reading some of the comments you’d think we were actually playing terribly.

To win football matches you need to score goals
To score goals you generally need to create chances

We are creating lots and lots of chances.. is it really the managers fault that a £25m striker or your club legend striker can’t put an absolute sitter away?

21/22 and 22/23 under Rodgers (which is drawing a lot of comparison) we didn’t even create chances. We’d just hope one of our stars would make something from nothing. We’d very rarely create good chances.

I think that's why the manager isn't to worried yet as we are creating chances.
 
Rhino’s right. How has Maresca seen Daka as first choice CF for weeks? . To win football matches, you must also concede as few chances as possible. Playing one touch around your own box , with players who cant pass water, is non conducive to this. Is it the managers fault that the same players, do the same shit, week in, week out? I’d say yes.

It made no difference because we missed the chances mentioned anyway!
We can't change what has happened, and if they carry on doing what they do - and there is no indication that things will change- it makes little difference to to the eventual outcome.
I'm not arguing with you, just being a bit pedantic...

Plenty of people were saying how bad Daka is and how we need Vardy. That's happened and even the saviour misses straight forward chances. Every team will give chances away, no matter what style they play. If you can't put away your chances you'll never win.

that £25m strikers isn't worth £25, so why is the clown on the pitch !

I've said the other day why, l think he is, and if I'm correct he should never play for us again.
