Matt piper?

I really miss him.
Love his honesty, passion and character.
Actually makes RL post match very listenable, his assessment of what goes on is pretty much always bang on.
Hope it’s just a holiday!

He is on some games, just not all of them. Still does some midweek broadcasts as well.

Think the other pundits are decent as well. It is only Nuge who a translator is required.

I like him on the podcasts. He's clearly a genuine fan and he mostly talks sense. I think he does less commentary these days because he wants to watch his lad play football on Saturdays.

He was moaning/arguing with Leicester fans on Twitter/X Cus the ground was half empty at full time on Sat. Calling people shit fans and the support as a whole aswell for not making enough noise.

A little bit of an exaggeration there, shanetko! He questioned why so many people left early on Saturday, but he was very polite about it - he didn’t call anybody ‘shit fans’ 😂

Ha ha! Fair enough - I only saw his original post, not all his replies. Is he wrong though?!
Sad of me trawling the replies I know 🤣🤣Nah not necessarily saying he is wrong. I prefer people saying what they think/feel.
I agree with the sentiment people can do what they want if they’ve bought a ticket but can see why he was upset to see the ground half empty after an entertaining game with a great performance too.

Easy solution, just miss the first 25 mins of the tippy tappy at the back while they rack up the passing stats.
stay to the end when the opposition fall asleep and we pounce.
Just checked and you’d have missed 8 Leicester league goals this season if only turning up after 25 mins mind!
Surprised it was such a high figure really as first halves have been especially dull.

He explained himself well on Monday on RL. Main point was fans right to moan when players make no effort (last season). Players make effort, top of the league and 4-0 up and they are clapping an empty group at the end - disheartening as a player.

Saturday was more than the usual folk getting away a bit early.

On Saturday, I had a bit of a do to go to after the game.
With five minutes of normal time to go, the wife said “ do you want to leave now ?
One look at her , and she knew the answer.

During the Pleat era you could leave early(5 mins from the final whistle) and still be home before the players thanked the referee.
