Was going Leeds apparently, Farke was recommended to him by Madderson as hes friendly with him.

Instead hes gone to Sheff U on loan, of which I'm happy about as l think hes a good player and easily as good as Chilwell. I know that there's a certain person on here who can confirm this, or not as the case may be.

Yep that’s correct. Farke asked Maddison his opinion on Luke and they really tried hard to get him.

It is but we no longer play with full backs. Are we meant to keep players that no longer suit our style of play?
We'd have unhappy players in the squad (perhaps not even in the squad) and their value would drop if they weren't getting played.
Offloading them means we get loan fees, reduce the salary costs, free up places and hopefully bring in players better suited.

I take your point but neither of them are like the archetypal old fashioned full backs who never went over the half way line. Timmy scored some goals for us and Luke looked comfortable on the ball going forward but is young and clearly needs to develop more. I respect the manager's decision but it seemed a strange explanation.
