Listening to him on the United site it sounds like he was told early on that he was surplus to requirements. Personally, I’m glad it’s just a loan. Although, I hope he doesn’t come back too traumatized from a second straight relegation.
Messed around and mismanaged by TCR. I hope he does well their - better defensively than Chilwell was when he was with us. There he’ll be encouraged to get forwarded and get crosses in. Hopefully he’ll be back as a better player.
I hope the good memories like Wembley and the amazing goal at Man U ease what must be a difficult time for him. Harder still when he is one of our own and the new manager is prepared to ignore what went before. Best solution would be Sheff U stay up and he gets lots of game time. Yes he had defensive frailty but he was no worse than Chilwell.
Good for him, get another season in the top flight growing and learning in a likely relegation battle. One thing for sure, it should help his defensive development.
Happy for him, he needs to play to develop. Have some great memories but having family play for the team you support is hard and knowing what goes on makes you hate football and Leicester a bit. Hopefully now he’s on loan I can get back to enjoying the football again.

Exactly this.
Said it before, when he first came into the first team he was very impressive, getting forward & delivering some wicked undefendable crosses that our forwards weren’t on their toes for. Really thought we have a prospect on our hands here.
However clear as the day the management got into him with “ tactics” & you gradually saw him go into Rodgers robot mode, hardly ever even venturing over the halfway line.
Hope sheff utd embrace what he clearly naturally has.
